Paint protection film on tank
Harrybeerbelly:
Okay so I would like to install PPF on my new FLTRXSE. I have done this on other bikes and cars. The graphics on the tank are stickers but appear to be covered with clear.
My question is if I decide to remove the PPF will that be a problem with the sticker graphics coming off with the PPF?
OBB:
Should be fine if they're under the clear..... Keywords are should be.

Thanks for your input. It looks like the graphics are under clear. It is factory. Just very nervous if I need to remove the PPF graphics will lift.
Maybe I will wait and see if / when the tank starts getting scuf marks from jeans and chaps and then decide.
Harrybeerbelly:
Just an update for anyone that is interested. I have learned the CVOs have three coats of clear. More than plenty to protect the graphics.
I installed the PPF with no issues.
CVODON:
Hopefully you have no problem if you try to remove the PPF but it makes no difference how many coats of clear you have if the first coat didn't bond to the decal it will lift when pressure is applied to remove the PPF.
Sorry but depends on initial prep, not depth of clear.
