Looking for route suggestions
« on: May 22, 2013, 09:27:09 PM »

Hi All,

Just wondering if some in the mid States could help me out...

I doing a ride this summer and would like to ride as many scenic roads as possible from Flint, MI to Memphis, TN attempting to stay off the interstates as much as possible..

Any and all suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance for any assistance you can lend.

This might sound stupid I did a similar trip like this and had the lady at AAA do a trip tic for me.  It worked out real nice.  I did go through a lot of little towns.  But since I was a member it was free.  It was on a little flip map, that I put in the tank bag.

Lots of IL is good, stay away from Chicago, western KY is fine.  Western Indiana not so much.

If you want a good State Route that you can make time on travel 127 end to end, lots of farmland until you get near Cincy. Now if you want to see some pretty roads then head to the South Eastern side of Ohio and state routes 555, 93 725, are all good twisties and hills.  Just about any ST RT in Hocking Hills and Wayne National Forest is beautiful..
