Not trying to hijack this thread but be sure to check those fronts real good. Another thread on here turned me on to a problem I didn't know about. Cracking at the bead. 9000 miles on mine and sure enough, cracks in the side wall down in next to the bead , can be hard to see. I check mine regularly but never saw them. And I thought I was doing pretty good, lots of tread left. Other than this issue I don't mind the tires.

just noticed same thing on mine 5000 miles

I have 17k on the front.  Still looks pretty good... I replaced the rear at 13k.   Living in fl,,  we really wear the center of tire  out only,  most of our riding is going straight.   I really like these tires as well.

The Dunlop rears will cup! I replaced my rear at about 11K because of the cupping. I am still on my front tire with plenty of tread at 16.5K.

Maybe it's just me, but I have grown a little skittish of throwing down too hard in the twisties because of my perception that our smallish 19" front tire does not grab as well as the much fatter 16" and 18" front tires on the Ultras. Anyone else feel that way... or am I just being a wuss?

I'd like to try something else... but to my knowledge, no one but Dunlop even makes a 130/60B19 front tire to fit our Agitators...

I have a 2011 and have 24500 km on Dunlop original front and rear. I am going to change them out right away but all my buddies have had a look and can't believe how much tread there is. One thing though they are very noisy in the turns.

My stock tires have about 9000 on them..they look ok, but the rear is noisy when you lean into turns.....may replace it just for that since it is making me crazy.

Pushing 13k on original rear tire and the 19" has never given me any issues with twisties...

As Harley has increased the Street Glide's front rim size (16 -> 17 -> 18 -> 19), I also feel that the handling has "changed".
Like you said, the "smaller" tire doesn't seem to corner as well, there's less "rubber meets the road".
Ruts, wallows, tar strips, grooves, and other road imperfections seem to be "worse" with a 19 front tire.
The 19 front seems to "track" into grooves on concrete roads, where the older 16 front didn't.

At least the 19 front looks cool...

I'm scheduled to replace both front and rear tires tomorrow (19.5k on the original front, 10k on the second rear)
I suspect the vibration I'm getting through the grips and floorboards are due to the cupping on the front tire.

At Sturgis this year, I talked to the Metzler vendor, and asked why they didn't offer tires to fit the 2012 Street Glides.
I was told that there wasn't enough demand/volume to justify it.

Yes! That's exactly my experience. This bike is usually rock solid, but that front tire hates tar snakes with a passion! I have experienced "dancing" when running over the many roads with tar snakes on them that we have in the mountains. Whenever I see tar snakes on curves, I get major "pucker factor".

As I said, it's never slipped in the twisties, but it does seem to be much more sensitive to road imperfections than the fatter tires on smaller rims.

But the 19" Agitator up front does look cool...

I never rode a bike with a 16 but my 09 had the 17 up front. I don't remember it grabbing the tar snakes and grooves like you mention. I agree Ken, the 19 grabs a lot but looks great and I think it handles well but crappy roads are less to be desired.

My rear tire is starting to 'howl' when cornering...at 22,000 km.

Yeah. They start to howl when they get cupped. My rear tire was howling at only 11K miles... about where you are now...
