HOW DO I FIND PAINT CODE IDENTIFICATION???

I was told by the parts guy on my 2012 CVO StreetGlide there was a tag on the under side of the fuel tank.
Lifted it and it was there.
Also when I had the inner fairing painted on my 13 thru the dealer the final price was more than special order from factory, they did match the price.

if you go to the Harley sip site, you can get a download manual by year of painted parts and the corresponding hd code.  not that you could take it to your painter and have him do anything with it, but it will show what colors were available, and the part numbers.  it could help you in your search for used or nos parts.
