1st bike: Suzuki Jr 50 (motor locked up)
2nd bike: Honda Z 50 (outgrew it)
3rd bike: Honda XR 100 (rode the wheels off it)
4th bike: 1987 Honda Rebel 450 (sold to a cousin; still on the road today)
5th bike: 2000 Harley-Davidson Night Train (rode it for 13 years but sold it after I bought the CVO b/c after a couple of weeks on a touring bike I knew wouldn’t ride it enough to make it worth keeping)
6th bike: 2004 Harley-Davidson CVO Electra Glide (bought in 2014 and only $100 away from having it perfect, haha!)

My first was a 1975 Suzuki GT380 Triple 2-Stroke Ram Air.  I had a 68 Charger & 71 SuperBee 383 Mag both beat to Hell.  Could never get them running enough to drive between money and experience (17 years old and a busboy wages) lots of carb fires & tranny fluid in the hair, but learned a lot.  So an offer came along to trade for a Running Gt380 and that was it...Transportation!  Fixed it up cherry and rode the chit out of it, sold it (regret) and the guy wrecked it!  Moved up the Suzuki line GS850, GS1000, GSXR1100 oil cooled, then Ducati's 916SPA (955), 996, 998 Matrix, MH900e & a couple of other bikes sprinkled in & not counting dirt bikes.  Still own a couple Ducati's.  And a few years ago ran across an exact copy same color too, with 2k original miles on eBay, couple K later with shipping it arrived, took it off the truck & rode down the street!  Other then some patina on the chrome & paint a nice bike.

Cool story!
My dad had a 550 in the late 70's, and I bought a GS750 back in '81-'82? while in the service.  Here I am at 155 pounds wet!  Weigh 220 now and trying to keep it under that.  Was 24 then, am 60 now!
I sold it two years later for a GW Aspencade!

^ My 850 was an 81' & the 1000 was an 80' so right there with that 750.  Damn fun bikes!  I'm right there with you on the weight thing too!  Another quick bike story in the pre helmet law days here in Cali I would hop out of the shower, dress, wouldn't dry my hair, hop on the 1000, put on Sunglasses, hit the freeway for a few miles then dump me on old Route 66 to work @ Marie Calendars....on arrival, hair perfect!  Those were the days.
