Sapper I had a local guy paint the fender and inner fairing for me.  The guy does alot of custom hot rods and has a really good reputation for being good at what he does.  The bad thing was that it took him three tries before he finally got the paint to match, meaning that i got charged three times to paint the fender and inner fairing.  OUCH is the only way I can put it!

Fired00d I talked to the shop today about the burned pipe and the agreed to change out the mufflers for nothing.  They have had this happen to other people with the same exhaust so they are going to use my burned pipes as the dyno pipes so nobody esle has to go through the same hassle.  Blue job definately looks like it works though.

Bike looks outstanding!
Did you do an 18 X 5.5 rear with a 200mm tire? Have you noticed any handling issues with the 21" front?

Looks great!!

TIF2 yes i did do a 18x5.5 rear.  The 21" front does handle a little bit different but if you practice with it you don't notice anything.  I did put a front end lowering kit on though.  I would still put a 21" front on if i was doing it all over.

Mr D I don't recall what exactly it was for sure but I want to say it was 2".  The local shop told me that they had done it before and it helped the handling so I told them to do whatever they thought.

Finally took the plunge and installed the RC Components Savage wheels 21 Front and 17 x 6.25 rear to accommodate the 200 mm rear tire.
Also went with the new Metzeler 140/70 - 21 tire its 1" wider than the stock 130 for improved ride and handling.

The tire however is 2" taller than the 120 thus either you use custom brackets ( I have a shop fabbing mine this week) or you use a fender for a 23".

Whose fender did you use and where did you have it painted? I have been looking at Bad Dad's stretched classic fender and a 23" wrap as you have. Mainly concerned with matching the paint?

Wheelsnkeels the fender and brackets I used were all klockwerks. I had a local body shop here in grand island ne that does a lot of custom hot rods paint it for me. It turned out pretty good. I can't say that it was an exact match, but I will say that it was so close that everybody that ever seen it said it looked fantastic. I also had the inner fairing  painted. The pics might show how close of a match it was. It wasn't cheap but it looks like u r in it deep enough to know how costly it is to do these mods.

I am in pretty far I guess? Great bike you have I know I love mine!
Enjoy the ride  :2vrolijk_21:

Got my first paint chip last week "OUCH" Sending the parts to site member "Volski" next week. He got very high praise in a PM from another member.

I'm hoping for excellent results as well!

My custom fender brackets are being machined I went with the larger140/70 21 tire it adds 1.8" in height. So none of the vendors brackets work especially on CVO SESG or SERG fenders. Staying with the factory fender at least for now.

I could order the Progressive monotube lowering springs for 1 or 2 inches. However at this time I think the fender will be too high for that?
Looks like there will be only about 2" to the triple trees.

The bigger tire handles better then the stock size and ride was the motivation in choosing it.
Stay well ride safe
