Some of the best motorcycle roads!
« on: January 04, 2015, 09:54:30 AM »

Here is a link to some of the best roads in the Smokies.

http://smokymountainrider.com/?p=5903

Below is a comment from the article that so many of us already knew was true!

Quote
Geographically, Maggie Valley sits at the hub of it all, but any of the towns along the south side of Great Smoky Mountains National Park is going to put you near some outstanding riding.

Like you Chip, I have rode them all more than once. My favorite still remains Hwy 80 north of the whip. Between Lake Tahoma & the BRP is very good but then calms to a bore until you cross Hwy 19......from there it is riding heaven to Loafers Glory. If you are ever in WNC/ETn and miss those......you need to park it!!!!! Thanks for the post for the most of our members.

I have to be honest all of us on the West Coast could never figure out WHY! everybody went to Maggie Valley every year?? Until Soozie & I made that trip last year, The roads were unbelievable and there are some many of them I know we didn't hit all of them, so I guess that means another Maggie Vly trip, not this year but maybe 2016 when I'm totally retired!

Can he get a hall pass?

Sorry, I musta been dozing (thanks for the wake up call, Chip).

I'm in brothers.  I'll make sure to get the appropriate access forms and Visa requests filled out before crossing the NC border (you don't have to do that to come into Tennessee.  They let EVERYBODY in....)

Hey Chip, I'm actually from Alabama so not only does that make me a real redneck, it also gives you someone from TN and AL for the ridin'......

I didn't see the Devil's Triangle on that list.  That's my back yard, guys.
