Lots of people around that depends on luck Instead of skills. Front is 70-80%!!

Sport bike riders take pride in riding skills. Harley riders think Chrome and loud pipes is the solution  :nixweiss:

Don't use the front brake? Guess you must ride by yourself, can not imagine anyone riding in front of you knowing you will hit them do to 70% of your braking being on front and you don't use it. Scary, Hopefully you are kidding.

Nope.  Very seldom ride by myself, unless I need emergency therapy.  Then, I act like a pure idiot.  I just keep twistin' it till it changes tunes...for miles and miles.......then.........the peace comes, and I'm a new man!  Nobody rides in front of me, except Unbalanced occasionally, 'cause nobody can keep up.  And no, I ain't kiddin'.  There endeth the lesson.  Later--HUBBARD

Sport bike riders?  WTF do they have to do with the price of eggs?  They're crazier than I am, up here.  As far as skills, it's a wise man that knows his limitations, and the limitations of his Motorsickle.  I can keep one between the ditches.  And since I stopped drinkin' liquor......I ain't had a single crash!  Real...hard-core...old-school Harley riders know......Chrome will get you home...and LOUD PIPES SAVE LIVES!  There endeth the lesson.  Later--HUBBARD

After every ride I wipe off the bike (usually) and the rag gets black from the back fender.  I'm thinking it's the tire that I'm wiping off, not brake dust.  That's why we have to replace tires at 12 or 15 k miles.

Regardless the technique deployed or front or rear I highly recommend EBC double-H pads.
Almost zero dust (no pads make truly zero) and great stopping power wet or dry and never a squeak

Not familiar with those, but I'll try them when due.  Like I say, the only difference I see with the Lyndall is the dust looks like pollen, as opposed to black.  Still a bitch to clean!  Later--HUBBARD

The EBC HH pads are awesome and in my experience, preferable to Lyndalls.

I have to agree.

I switched to the EBC HH pads early last year after years of using the Lyndall pads. IMHO The EBC stop better, wear better and leave less brake dust to clean off.

Yup, alone the front has MUCH more braking power than the rear.

But as I used to tell my student riders, if you were on a ship at sea, would you want your life vest to work 80% or 100%? Might not be a bad idea to get used to using BOTH brake systems and get 100% out of something that your life could depend on.

In this case, the life vest would only be working 10% of the time
