I put them on my 2017 SG myself. Not hard. Just takes a little mechanical aptitude. My dealer told me what mod to do. The throttle side already has the connector in it, all you need is a dremel tool and patience. Took me under 3 hours, 2 beers, and 1 quesadilla.

I didn't like the stock heated grips that came on the 16 cvo rg ultra. I ordered the stock heated grips from the 14 cvo limited. Works perfectly. Looks great and don't peel.  Very happy.  Stuart.

As OP, I love all the conversation. Not much in line with my post though. Now that 18s have been out for a while, anyone change bars want ride of their 18 CVO grips ?
