It was a short ride. From standing beside the bike on the lift to banging my side off the rear of lift, dinging up some ribs, and falling backwards and rolling for (probably) 10,000 yards.
Noticed a couple days ago the bike had a small primary leak. One of the two seals; so just changed them both. Putting it all back together and pulling on the compensator nut when, suddenly, everything turns loose. On the miles long walk back home from the roll away from the bike I'm thinking the socket slid off the nut. Upon closer inspection the damn compensator nut split.
It's been on and off a few times in its life. Still surprised the thing split though. Even at 95 ft pds plus the angle it's not that much torque. In any case with the exception of the sore ribs I'm just very glad whatever flaw it was in the nut that turned loose did it now rather than sometime later on the road.
Stupid comp nut.....
