Title: New to me 2018 SERG
Post by: mjb765 on June 12, 2022, 10:48:55 AM
To complete my conversion to a full Road Glide owner, I am trading in my 2015 SESG on a 2018 SERG.....The exhaust is satin chrome..the headpipe is heatshields so that will be easy to put on a new pipe, but what is out there for matching mufflers (besides Fullsac cores)?? Who makes mufflers that match the satin chrome heat shields, or mufflers that can use the stock heat shields?

Congratulations Mike, you have great taste. That's the best combination EVER! Your muffler heat shields can be re-used on almost any 4-4.5" muffler that you choose.....but the Fullsac route is much more cost efficient. I changed my heatshields and tips out to the gloss black ones with help from one of the members here.

Do you have the original heat shields from the mifflers? I think the bike has black mufflers if I remember correctly....I want to go aftermarket but need the shields.

Thanks....2nd one for me...2 years ago I bought a 2020 Road Glide Limited to add to the stable....then I discovered I didn't ride the CVO Street Glide anymore so it was time to go all shark! Found this 2018 with only 2200 miles on it and couldn't say no.

Good for you Mike. Once you switch over to the rg there's no turning back. I'm proof of that. Enjoy the new ride. Really nice.  Stuart.

Wow, that is a really nice find.  Very low miles.

Congratulations on the new bike… Check with Khrome Werks, I think they have a muffler that will match the factory heat shields.

No I sold all the satin heat shields and muffler tips as a set after I purchased and installed the black ones. I like the look a lot better of the all black exhaust. So you will either need to find the satin muffler shields or black header heat shields for whichever look you like best. I'll bet the previous owner still has the satin muffler HS's.

Good luck!

My wife is looking for a '15 in those colors. Can you say what dealership you traded into?
