CVO Convertible wind shield replacement?
« on: July 21, 2015, 11:49:05 AM »

I want a better wind shield for my 2010 CVO Convertible. I tried the CEEbaileys 19" replacement shield. I can't see that's any better than the stock shield. I have a Fat Boy wind shield it works, but not happy with the looks. still want to use the painted fairing if I can.
Can anyone who had replaced theirs tell me which is the best way to go?
Any help will be greatly appreciated!! :(

The stock windshield is aesthetically pleasing but functionally worthless. I got the large, light gray windshield from Clearview Shields two years ago. They were great to deal with. In fact, right before it shipped, they called to say that quality control detected a blemish. They were willing to make a new windshield for me or chip some $$ off the one in question. The blemish was tiny, hard to find and not in my line of sight. I took the one with the blemish and have been nothing but happy with it.

looks good. Cane you give me a measurement from the fairing cut out (above the top of the headlight) to the top of shield? this will tell me the height I need to order.
Thanks for your time. this is a great help.

21.5" - top of windshield to rounded cutout for headlight
19.5" - top of windshield to fairing/windshield edge

I had troubles estimating what I needed. After dealing with how terrible the stock was, I went large. If I sit up straight, I look over the windshield. If I slouch, I look through the windshield. I am happy with it but I wonder if I could have gotten by with the medium.

Thank  you.! exactly what I needed. I am leaning toward the medium height shield. I hate looking thru one all the time. Hopefully the top flip/curved edge will do its job.
Going to have to wait till next month to order one. bought a CeeBaily's 19" shield this month, but wasn't happy with results. head still getting buffered to much.
