Harley Davidson in Lynchburg VA has the Hightail Yellow RGL. I looked at the tag and they were MSRP of $47,899 plus $795 shipping and $1,495 surcharge, so just over $50K. Looks like there extra mark-up was only a couple hundred $$.
It is a really good looking bike and the seat feels much better than the previous years.

I received two quotes, one $50,300 and the other $54995. I went with the higher quoted price because they gave me a lot more for my trade than the other so the difference was less. It would have been interesting what the price would have been with no trade, if they would have budged off the quote.

My dealer was asking $51,995, I bought for $49,500. I checked around and that was the best "deal" I could find. I know that's a crazy lot of money for a toy but I really like this bike and I've decided to sell both of my others to offset some of the cost.

By the time I add my "must have" accessories, I'm pretty sure I'll be somewhere in the $60-$70k range.  At my age, I'm thinking this will probably be my last bike so I'm going to do it up the way I want it and enjoy it as long as I can.

I purchased a new 2021 Road Glide CVO in October 2021 from a dealer here in Georgia and paid MSRP plus taxes, etc.  No dealer markups or other BS.  I had been searching for months and ran into the same dealer markup crap you are finding.  I asked for an out-the-door price and every dealer I spoke with wanted over $50k.  Where I ultimately purchased didn’t have on available back in august but we agreed on the MSRP price for the next one that came in and I placed a $10000 deposit.  2 months later they called me and said come pick up your bike.  I have nothing but great things to say about this dealer.  They were totally up-front, honest, and no sales/finance game playing.  PM me for information about the dealer.

Hi All
i would say shop around or see what your local dealer will do . I just got the cvo road glide limited wicked orange and black
and paid list and the paint upcharge ,shipping and prep and the bull$h1t surcharge and they said they could not do anything about it . But that was it . Did not pay a penny over the list and they gave me a nice discount on any of the parts i wanted, also gave me discount on some labor on the cam and extra cooling fan i had installed and since they did the cam they put on the fullsac head pipe on for me and went with tab performance 4.5 with 2.5 baffles.. very nice sound :bananarock: :bananarock: :bananarock:
So over all very happy on the transaction and especially how i was treated .   :2vrolijk_21: :2vrolijk_21:

$53 - $54K probably is the right price after Gun slingers paint up charge, Harleys "Mandatory" $1K Surcharge

Ive found at least 4 CVO RG Limiteds within 300 miles of me. But there starting asking price is $52999 plus all the B.S. fees and setup crap. ( setup $1995 plus $1950 for freight/surcharge) Guess theses dealers think these are made out of Gold or something. There just giving HD a bad rep trying to overcharge for a bike there already have a good profit margins on. Consumers won't forget these tactics when things return to normal again. I kinda wish Mother HD would advise dealers not to charge over MSRP like some of the Auto Manufactures have. Hope they have to sit on them for a long time at these prices.

That stuff has been going on for DECADES and until we as consumers stop overpaying for continuously lower quality products - I'm talkin' 'bout you HD - they will continue to charge ever increasing amounts for their "premium" (cough, cough) product. I personally will not pay these prices for inferior quality, no matter the brand or the product.

Well,....as PT Barnum once said, "There's one born every minute" and HD knows it.
