I'm considering the schuberth C4 pro helmet with the SC1 comm system. Before I spend $1,000, will I still be able to use my bikes proprietary hand controls for apple car play and sirus radio?
I have a 2019 CVO Road Glide. Dealer is vague on answers. Dealer is telling me everything is run through bluetooth. I understand bluetooth, but what about my on screen display and switching between satellite apply car play etc.

I am going to opine on 2 things here:

1) I am thinking you will only get mono sound as HD did this to protect them from us not spending money on their products.

2) Bluetooth wil not allow controls to operate a non HD product.

I am no expert, I just understand how limited HD is with letting us use something not branded by them!

but the hand controls just allow you to navigate through radio channels, navigation and apple car play. I don't need bluetooth for that.

I believe everything will work, like the Harley branded Sena 20S or 30K except your music will be in mono.  Pair the head set to the bike and the phone to the bike.  Do not pair phone to head set.
