Well i finally bite the bullet and stalled some Brembo's, A guy called and had the brakes on a deal, somebody ordered them and changed there minds. So well you know Also while they were taking it apart they discovered that my rear was down under 30% Dam! I only had maybe 5000 miles on those Avon's, So decided to change to Metilzers 880's Made just a short ride today but really did feel a big difference in the handling. I took acouple of pic's.

Nice, Don!!  It all looks good chrome, and you've got a lot better brakes now!!  I'm really liking my Metzler's too...will never go back to stock if given the choice.

Very nice Don

You're gonna love those Metzler's. They provide an incredible ride. If you're not too high on the Brembo pad's switch over to the Lyndall Z pad. I switched mine out and it's much better feel & hardly any brake dust.

But question are the Avon's known for that kinda wear like I said I got about 5000 miles out of them, hardly ever rode two up, but i guess with my 240 lbs it is like two up ? But still was suprised in the short wear I got.

Don, I've always heard, but don't have any first hand experience, that Avons grip extremely well because they are a softer compound than either the Metzlers or the Dunlops.  5k is kinda short on milage though, regardless of load and riding style.

Are those Brembo's the new kind with 4 seperate pads in each caliper?  I just put the PM's on my scooter, and went ahead and swapped the pad to Lyndal Z's from the good reports I got both here and from other sources.  If you've got the new Brembo's, I think you've got to use their pads for the time being at least.

Man oh man, with those shocks gleaming and that wheel, pulley, rotor and caliper combination all shining in the rear it is a shame to have to mount the saddlebags.  Very very nice Don.

I didn't even ask if they were the new ones or not, I do think I'll run these pads for awhile and maybe before Nelson I'll exchange them for the Lyndal Z's.

Don, new model or old, they are still great calipers!!

I'm taking the filler strips off the back of my bike and adding the two parts to cover the bracket so you can at least see in there from the back.  I'll take some pics when I get them put on tomorrow evening.  With the Legends, caliper, pulley, and wheels, its' a rear shame not to be able to at least get a glimpse of it all
