2010 SE Street Glide exhaust......what fits?
« on: November 15, 2009, 12:54:50 AM »

Due to the streatched bags, we need a minamum 4" exhausts to fill the the hole at the back of the saddlebag and fender skirt.  I could list these in the exhaust section as they'll work on other bikes as well however, my goal is to provide information the to SE Street Glide owners specifically because of the 4" size needed.  I'm not lisiting header pipes.....there are several that will work with these slip ons and are interchangable.

Here are some exhausts listed in the Drag Specialties FL catalog that are 4" and are for the 2010 models (these are all Drag Specialties part numbers):

Vance & Hines High Output Slip-on Mufflers (Part #1801-0398)

Vance & Hines Twin Slash Slip-on Mufflers (Part # 1801-0392)

Vance & Hines Classic Slip-on Mufflers (Part # 1801-0330)

Bassani 4" Slip-on Mufflers (Part #1801-0187 slant cut, 1801-0306 inverted chrome)

Klock Werks Platinum Series Revolver (Part #1801-0327)

Klock Werks WFB Performance Slip-on Mufflers (Part #1801-0313 w/billet end cap polished or chrome)

Cobra 4" Slip-on Mufflers (Part #BLV6201UC)

If the 4" exhaust isn't big enough, there is Klock Werks Super Saver 4 1/2" Slip-on Mufflers (Part # 1801-0350).  Personally I'd like to see a set of these on the 10 SESG. :nixweiss:

This list is not all inclusive of the 4" exhaust......Bub makes the Bub 7 and the Bub Stealth in 4".  But it's a good start of a list that provides a number of options where just a few weeks ago there wasn't much available for the 10 SESG.

Hi JC,

I asked the V&H guys what they recommended for for the bike and another is their 'High Output Slip-ons'

Compatible with Dresser duals, Power Duals and CVO drop skirt bags.

These do look good IMO

I agree Kev.....those do look good. :2vrolijk_21:

I also like the slashed exhaust with the rolled ends that are slash forward (the slash is in line with the saddle bags lines).  I think the slashed forward (some listed them as slashed up which doesn't make a lot of sense.....slashed up or down, you still need to know if the slash goes forward or back) look goes great with the streatched bags.  There were several makes of this type of exhaust.

I got to see a number of these exhausts in person at the Drag Specialties trade show in Reno last weekend.  And while there were a number of streatched bags, they were all aftermarket.  There weren't any SESGs to see the exhausts on.  But it was nice to be able to see all of them in person.

Met and talked to a lof of people......Rivera (Rivera Pro Clutch), Brian Klock (Klock Werks) and his wife (she holds the Bagger Land Speed Record), Arlen Ness and many others.  It was a great time to be able to hold inidiviual conversations with all these people one on one.  Much better than any rally where they usually have a Rep. working rather than being there themselves. :2vrolijk_21:

Those are good looking pipes. They appear to be larger than 4" at the end. 41/2 maybe?

The catalog says they're 4".  But the 4 1/2" may fill the hole a little nicer? :nixweiss:

By the way, anybody changed their exhaust that wants to get rid of their stock SESG slip ons and Hear shields?  I'd like to pick up another set to experiment with.

That's got to be the first time on this board I've read the words "Winter" and "Good thing" in the same post? :nixweiss:

My parents are down there in the winter, I usually rent a bike when we go down to visit them in Naples.

I will be replacing my exhaust soon, and might be interested in selling the stock stuff!
