Bummer; I would get those through inspection and then get a new rear-end on those things.  Totally ruins the look of the bike :(  Good luck guys.

Once the inspection is done, I think I would "bite the bullet" and remove the tail light all together then have the rear fender filled and painted.

Then you will be totally satisfied.  ;D

If I was in the market for a SESG, that's what I said I would do after seeing one delivered to a Canadian dealer.

Good luck with it.

Agreed, the Kury lamps look much better, but I had the Smoked Kury LED version on my FatboySE, and ended up taking it off because during the daylight hours, it was virtually invisible.
I do like the idea of a harness or "black box" to convert the signal lights to operate as brake lights!

I may have found the answer. Badlands Motorcycle products makes a Brake/Run/Turn module that does not use a ceramic resistor for a load equalizer. They have some patented technology developed into a circuit board so there are apparently no heat issues, no security alarm issues, no self cancelling issues. Now they don't have an off the shelf soultion, but the best part of all was they are willing to build "one-off" modules. All i needed to do was send pictures of the wiring harness under the seat, clearly describe the colours of the wires and the connector and they make it and ship it so that it's plug and play.

http://www.badlandsmotorcycleproducts.com/2008/Products/BETCSM.htm

If it all pans out i will have all 3 lamps glowing in the run position, all 3 lamps bright when braking and naturally signals doing what they do.

Will let you know when it arrives next week!! :huepfenjump3:

Do the international versions come with the longer antenna?   :nixweiss: That's not the shorter antenna we got on the domestic versions.

Came with the shorter one in the saddlebag on delivery. Have since installed it:
