It is real nice at 80mph and lower which I tested on the way back to Jacksonville on Route 1. So for me "It's a keeper".

For whatever it's worth and considering that we all have different likes/dislikes, I was not at all happy with the stock shield on my FLHXSE.  I've been riding Ultra's for the past several years and I felt like I was going to be blown off the bike whenever I was speeding safely down the highway. 

After riding with a few different shields, I went with the 8 1/2" Klock Werks Flare.  It's the shortest shield in that line-up that will still allow the installation of a fairing pouch and it has made a world of difference for my 6'3" 290lb. a$$ at speed.  I bought mine on eBay from seller henleyskustompaintinginc129 brand new in the Klock box for $139.00 simoleans delivered.  It works very well for me and I think it looks great.
