Hawg-Wired Tweeter Pods
« on: April 22, 2010, 11:15:23 PM »

FINALLY getting the pods installed onto my own bike. I had them painted to match the Dark Candy Cherry inner fairing. They disassemble very easy for painting with only two screws. The kit comes complete with Tweeters, x-overs, drilling templates and instructions. Here is a pic of the kit once assembled into the painted pods.

1st drill an 1/16" pilot hole on both sides, Drill from the inside out....VERY SLOWLY so you do not pull the paint on the outside.

The pods have a full rubber gasket on the back to seal the unit to the fairing. Here they are mounted in place

They are help in with a single screw through the upper hole that was drilled into the fairing. the lower hole is for the wires.

The x-overs come pre-terminated. One set goes to the tweeter and the other side has male female connectors to connect right to the factory speakers leads.

In my application I am using the Hawg-wired amp so i cut the connectors off and connected them directly to the amp outputs in parallel with the Fairing speakers.

So...how do they sound? CRISP, CLEAN, and very bright.  :2vrolijk_21: They are spaced far apart and angled pretty much right at your head. A very nice addition 8)
