A few bad apples whether it be the body panel shaking car stereo or the sound like total crap way loud motorcycle straight pipes.

Idiots will be idiots and spoil it for the rest of us causing implementation of knee jerk legislation.

Sad but true, I guess that's why they call them One Percenters.  The problem is the snowball effect of these laws.

I hate to admit it but I like to hit the bar while out on my bike. The last think I need is some dumb ass cop pulling me over for my SE mufflers on the way home from having a few. But then again I cant live with the stock sewing machine sounding mufflers......  :drink:

Well I don't think it should just be a motorcycle noise code! It should be a motor vehicle noise code, regardless of the db levels sent, there plenty of loud cars and trucks out there too.

I agree, here in the south the thing is to take a new truck cut of the stainless steel exhaust and put on a set of cherry bombs with steel tubing make as much noise as you can and rusts out to even get louder.  We have a lott of pickups that are louder than my Bike with the pipes on it
