Bloody Aussie Stealers

Hi All
Seems that with the strong Australian dollar - us HD owners are taking our business offshore - as of July 1 2011 - HD US dealers will be prohibited from mailing HD items to overseas destinations - this sucks big time.

I've made a list of a number of items I want before the deadline - can anyone please recommend a preferred dealer in the US so as to save a buck.

I am wanting

LED headlamp kit
4 point docking kit
LED oil dipstick
Amber light pod kit
Multi fit ultra touring bag
Chopped tour pak
Tour pak mounting rack
Tour pak pad
Another leather jacket
Face mask

As few bucks to spend here

Ebay is your friend , I have had good dealings with Zannotis , Las Vegas HD and St Paul HD , 

Although HD is also forcing the US dealers not to sell on Ebay from this year as well .

Effective January 1, 2012, Harley-Davidson® will not allow Dealers to sell
on eBay and Amazon. Please join us at our new website:

** INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMERS **

Effective August 1, 2011, Harley-Davidson® has implemented a new policy where
all U.S. dealers no longer can ship orders to an address outside of the United
States. (APO/FPO addresses are excluded.)  Please make plans now to place
new orders before this date.

However i already have the sollution in place .
 
www.myus.com is a US address and they receive and  ship to us down under at very good express parcel rates , I just had a 20 kg box with a King Tour pack redirected to me for $230 Shipping cost with DHL .


Lets see how long it takes for them to stop us from buying stateside .

I have used Lake Shore HD quite a bit.  Overall everything has gone alright.  They can be slow in shipping and as a general rule difficult to communicate with.  All in all, I thinkg you will get better service from Jenni.

Jesus Glen thats a bloody long list, might be cheaper to fly over yourself and bring it home on the big jetliner (and have some fun doing it as well)

I feel for ya!  We get bent over by Trev Deeley ( the ONLY importer for all things HD to Canada)...so much so that I have paid for trips to the US with the savings on my purchases south of the border.

Mate the best place for you to go is www.mandmcycle.com. Mark is easy to deal with, as cheap if not cheaper than Zanotti. Give em a go. I've bought plenty of stuff from them. Bugger the Aussie stealers, dead set rip off merchants.

Maybe its also a good time to let our U.S. freinds here know the price of bikes here in Oz as well (remembering our dollars are of about equal value), hows $33K for a stock fatty? Or $29K for a stock Dyna Wide Glide? Or if you are really cashed up, $43K will get you a CVO Conv (better than $59K for the 09 Springer I must say)
