Wiring Harness for Boom Audio Fairing Mount on '10 CVO SG?
« on: March 02, 2012, 02:17:05 PM »

Ordered a Boom Audio fairing amp from Lake Shore for my 10 CVO SG. Everything I find says I need to order a seperate wiring harness for it and to contact dealer. I just got off the phone with the parts guy (who is a good guy and has been helpful in the past) and he can't figure out if I need the harness. I don't have more than 2 speakers, don't have Ipod, intercom, navagation or XM modules.

Hoping someone here who had done it could tall me for sure.

Unlike the Ultras and other bikes, you and I don't have the larger plug in the back of the radio. 65 pin connector?? Can't remember..

That may be the harness talked about and it may be needed to hook up to your radio.

When I installed my Road Tech GPS I had to install a NIM. Doing that I had to purchase and install the large pin harness that goes in the back of the radio for voice commands from the GPS.

There are several threads about it here.

My best guess.
