How long did it take to receive your Hot Citrus or Ruby Red king Tour pak? I have mine order for 5.5 weeks now and still not arrived.

It is not a rush. At least back when I got mine (current color at the time) the order went into a schedule.

If the color you are ordering is up next you got your parts quick.

If they just did your pattern and paint, then you wait.

My tourpak lid took 12-13 weeks.
My complete tourpak took less then 2 weeks.

I ordered my Ruby Red Tour Pack on January 28th 2012 and it is scheduled for March 20th 2012. App. 7 weeks its not bad if you consider the long transport from US to Germany. I think is is really a question of which color is already in process.
But all this is based on how they keep the scheduled date. I hope they do.

Back in '04 when I ordered my SEEG I ordered the KTP at the same time... it only took me nine (9) months to get the bike and the KTP was there when I picked it up.

Back then they were doing the colors in phases so the fact that I pre-ordered the KTP w/bike they had the (spray) guns loaded w/the paint and there wasn't any delay to get it.

At best that would mean it will be released to start shipping from the factory to the dealer on that date.

Porthole explains it pretty well right here. This has always been a frustration with the MoCo and more so with the CVO line. We went through this same thing in late 03/early 04 waiting on the tour packs. Went through it again in late 09/early 10 waiting on tour packs.

Don't seem to be the case here, Paddockdrive received his last week in Hot Citrus but myself, daneted, screaming al, have not received our tour pak to date and my dealer abroad says once it gets invoiced, 2 days latter he will have it and has of yesterday no invoice.

Not street glide... but for my FLTRXSE I was told 30 days lead time minimum..

HD no longer does CVO paints in house... in fact I have the boxes some of my replacement parts came in.. they are from Gunslinger directly to the dealer... so... seems HD no longer stocks the painted parts.. even for current model year.

THe contractor appararently does.. and as I was told by a service writer... there are priority lists for Warranty, Production, and Collision damage... (Dont know where the custom painted accessory parts fall in that line.. but I'm thinking at the back end.)

However.. the lid spoiler was an in stock item.. .. as were all the other nick nacks.

I don't know what is worse, waiting on the tour pak or waiting to go pick it up. As I posted I received mine but I was out of town for a week, then I get back and miss my service appointment to get it because of being sick now due to work schedule I can't get it until next Wednesday. Been in France for a couple of weeks and returned yesterday. Phoned dealer today and informed that it had arrived yesterday

So it was a visit this afternoon to inspect it. Fantastic!! So next Thursday it's first service and the fitting of the Tour-pak and the saddlebag spoilers (which came in 48 hours of ordering!!).

Who said Friday the 13th........

Paint the trim and have a striper match up the stripes. It would look ten times better, although it looks good now it could be that much better.

No the LED lamp kit is sold in two parts, you have to buy the kit then by a trim of a 2011 Ultra classic CVO in Prime for 36.00 US

then send the primerd part to gunslinger to paint to match in CVO colors... they will paint anything in the CVO colors as long as its not a product HD already sells.

Talked with Gunslinger and they said I'd likely have to send them a side cover or something with the color I want them to match. Not crazy about that method but don't see an alternative.

The red may be a different story but I was able to send them a high quality pic and they matched it about as perfect as could be. I have previously sent them a side cover too and they handled and packed it with utmost care, no damage whatsoever. Good luck.

I just used the plain backrest for my bike, but the seat on the 11's is closer to plain than the '12 seats. You could try and score a cheap used backrest on ebay or craigslist and have it recovered to match your seat.

I had the same issue with my 2011 SESG and a backrest for the Chopped Tour Pak. I ended up ordering a plain one and had it reworked to match my seats, Drivers backrest and Short passenger backrest. I changed them all at the same time and the drivers backrest is cheaper in plain also. This is especially worthwile if you choose to have your seats custom worked as I did. Brian at A Stitch on Time aka A Sweet Seat, St. Pete, FL did an awesome job with about a week turnaround time!

I ordered my Ruby Red tour pak back on March 5, 2012 and I am STILL waiting. And yes, I have tried to cancel the order twice with no luck. After all this time and seeing so many tour pak's being added to these bikes, it may be better to go without.

FYI, I was told earlier this week that the paint company for HD is overwhelmed and the problem is not HD. However, all I know is that I paid HD 10 weeks ago and will not be able to collect my lost intrest.

I love my bike, but strongly dislike dealing with HD.

Well I ordered mine in January when I ordered my bike. It came in a month before my bike, when the bike came in the put it on only to find out the dealer ordered it for the 2011 paint, I have a 2012. Needless to say they ate the cost and I am that much further behind, wish they had checked it when it came in.

I don't plan on adding any lights initially. I have the Screamin Eagle emblem from Custom Billet Works and I plan to put it on the TP. Then, just a nice back rest pad. I think I would prefer to keep it basic so it's a quick detach without all the wires to stow away under the seat when I don't have the TP on the bike.

I said to my self "Keep it simple" now I have the side Led's, and the nice chrome rack for the top with the brake light in that and I am gonna get the Screaming Eagle billet piece for the back.

Keeping it simple, is not as easy as it seems! As it looks just plain an BLAH with nothing added to it

I am totally amazed! I ordered CVO custom painted orange and black king tourpak less than two weeks ago. It was delivered yesterday from Tri County HD along with other parts I ordered to add to it. I just called Rebecca at TriCounty and asked if this was a return from someone else or if there was some issue with it and she indicated it was not a return and that they got it directly from HD earlier this week. Amazing. She added that when HD does paint, they will do a couple extra pieces, which I guess is what happened here.

I got mine earlier this week after about 7 weeks wait...yours probably went through the same paint batch as mine and you got one of the extras Rebecca mentioned. However, given Rebecca's premier record for customer service, I wouldn't expect any less from her. I bought a Zumo 665 and various other parts from her a few days ago and they were sitting at my door two days later. That kind of service will get you repeat business...

Ordered my Hot Citrus/Antique Gunstock on 5/27 from Lake Shore HD, and it showed up at my house on 6/29. It sounds like we all ended up in this last batch. While I was getting impatient, I was actually expecting it to take much longer. Now I gotta figure out which backrest I want to put on this thing.

Was shocked - just got mine today

- ordered it on July 4th and it arrived yesterday (July 25th). Dealer was also surprised. Around 3 weeks total.
It is a King Tour Pack - Charcoal Slate and Black Diamond
Some assembly required!

UPDATE

Just opened her up and is for a 2011 FLHXSE2!!!!!!!!!

Has a nice big-ol red stripe going down the side

I knew it was too good to be true!!!!!!!!
Already called dealer and he is ordering me a new one.....gotta return it all tomorrow - another trip back to dealer - and he will be assembling this sucker gratis!!!

The only assembly required was to install the lock and attach it to the mounting kit. Both were very easy. Mine came about 2 weeks ago and looks really nice. I love the paint and the new hinges. Sorry yours didn't come correct. I'm sure they will make it right soon. Good luck. Stuart.

8 weeks and 1 day.....and a very small white speck in the paint smack-dab in the middle of the side in the dark red just above a flame. HD's warranty parameters say it's too small.....dealer will get their paint guru to look at it and hopefully fix.....but damn it does look good.

My wait for the king tour pack for my 2011 black/crimson was 1 hour. Went to the dealer to inquire about price and delivery time. They ordered wrong color for a customer who had a 2012 and said the customer was returning it in a couple hours and they would give me a good deal. They called me about a half hour after I left to come look at it. It was the 2011black crimson. Wow was I excited but did not show it. Made them an offer for the mounting rack , pad and truck. They refused so I left. They called an hour later and accepted. I am in eastern Canada and the knew they had little chance to sell it. That was last Friday. Looks great and wife is very happy
