I think it means "juice".

In Spanish but I couldn't think of any rationale for calling a GPS unit "juice" either.  It's also got some idiomatic use I barely remember for ripping people off or taking advantage of them too.  Still not a great idea for a product name  [smiley=nixweiss.gif] .

Bill, perhaps it'll show up when accessories get published.  Might exist in a combination audio/power cable like the 26/27/28XX units have.

Don, the 2820 has a dedicated Audio Out 3.5mm jack on the side...I'm not sure if the 26, 27 series has that feature, thus the need for the Garmin cable with the 2.5mm connection...but, that one has to be adapted to the 3.5mm aux input on the new radios.  With the 28 it will just plug and play....guess they did that for the MP3 features, so if the Zumo/Zoomo/Zuni/whateverthef has the MP3, bet it's got the audio out too.  The right angle connectors are hard to find...but I ordered mine and will be installing the wiring this weekend. 2730 has the audio out also...

Just could not make it out in any of the images nor in the specs currently posted...I don't like the FM option...

Will keep reading and watchin'

That'd be handier.  Is it an amplified or unamplified source?

Ya always gotta ask the tough question....I'm speaking with Garmin today in an attempt to verify that no harm will be done to the unit by plugging the stereo output into the Aux on the HK. There are isolation cords to be had as well...

In an initial test I did, there was no hum or any other racket caused by plugging it all together, and everything came out of all four speakers.  As soon as I figure out how to load MP3 files into the GPS, I'll be testing that out as well...I've never fooled with MP3 stuff before, so I'm a dummy...

You're golden then.  The 26XX had an audio output in a patch cord you could use.  But it was soundly (pardon the pun) amplified and you could not patch it in to the aux port.  Good to see Garmin quickly learned from their little application error there.

Load the USB Drivers before connecting the GPS...Once loaded, when you connect the GPS, IT will prompt you for USB Mass Storage Mode or Garmin Mode.

USB Mass Storage Mode will add a drive to your computer...you can drag and drop the MP3 files there...and remove the extra voice files if you choose.

Garmin Mode is for loading routes tracks waypoints and POIs...as well as retrieving all plus tracks.

There is a setting on the 2730 for line out or headphones.

Kewl, Bill....thanks for the quick "Loading Files for Dumba$$es" lesson.  I've got the routes and such down pat, but just haven't gone into the other areas yet.

The 2820 has that setting as well, so I'm thinking I'm good to go.  Purchased the GOLD PLATED 24" 3.5mm right angle stereo patch cord....plan on running it through the handlebar holes in the fairing...should work/look good.  I'm kinda A/R about a bunch of cords and chit hanging all over the bike, so want it to be inconspicuous.

I just love this site!  It lets me know a day after my 2820 arrived that I should have waited.  The consumer is never ahead of the tech game.  At least I have 3 months to figure out a good excuse on why I need the Zumo.

My 2730 will be going to the wife...without the XM antenna!  I will get the Zumo if it has what I need.

I went ahead and purchased a Zumo today; hopefully it will be here before Maggie Valley. Jenny is doing much better now, so there shouldn't be any reason why I cannot attend.

It doesn't look as though the Zumo has an audio out jack.  I assume that it does the wireless thing to the radio?
