Now.  I road the CVO Road Glide.  She did great as usual.

Roger that, I been looking for some reviews about the rev-max, drivetrain mainly and don’t see a whole lot on the forums I visit, just curious. I know you ride regular so I thought I’d bring it up.

To keep to the thread topic I finished off my service on the CVO, 4qts 12ozs of 10w-60 engine, 1qt HD formula+ primary, !qt 75-140 mobil 1 trans.

I dropped $409 to replace the front tire....nothing special, just OEM Dunlop.   My previous E3 cracked around the sidewall...though plenty of tread left.   Watch those date codes when buying tires....lesson learned that you cannot trust independent shops no more than MOCO stores.

I turned (or had turned) my 2018 CVO Limited into a trike. As Harley seems unwilling to put an independent rear suspension in the Tri Glide I really had no choice. I also now have a 3 gal aux fuel tank so I can go at least long as the bikes can between fill ups. The kit is a Roadsmith R body.

How much weight is added and what differences (if any) in final drive ratio?  Just wondering if power/weight changes enough that it begins to feel a little sluggish or how much the response is noticeably different?

I think it added 3 or 4 hundred lbs. I made no change to the final drive ratio. It is a little slower accelerating, but has no problems cruising along at 80. If I decide I need it I will put a cam in this winter.

A small group of us including wmustang, Miss P, Steve M, Steve H and Tally Ho rode across the Back of the Dragon, first hill anyway, through Saltville to Damascus to eat at the Diner there. Then on out to Shady Valley and picked up the Snake up towards Abingdon, Va. The main reason for going to Abingdon was because the William King Museum there has an exhibit called The Open Road, which is a small collection of motorcycles ranging from a 1926 Harley Single up to a 1972 Sportster. The exhibit was a bit of letdown because I expected more quite honestly.

However what I didn't know is that they also had an exhibit of old flintlock long guns, and by that I mean the type Davy Crockett and Daniel Boone carried around back in the day. There were several cases spread throughout two rooms with each case having 8 or more of these old guns.

As a gun enthusiast, although not of this particular era, it was awesome to see these weapons and to think about the history they represent. They were all so beautiful and to see the natural color and patterns within what one has to assume came from the old growth wood that existed here in the mountains prior to the industrial revolution was truly awesome.

Orange Crush ran great as usual, the only problem is that I feel I have this bike so well sorted with regard to the motor, suspension, etc that it's getting kinda hard to find something to upgrade these days.

Sorry to interrupt this thread, but can anyone tell me how to post a new topic on this forum? When I go to help, it says to look for the "New Topic" button at the top and bottom of the page. I see nothing of the sort. Any help would be appreciated! Thank you.

You cannot post a new topic from within a already existing thread. For clarification one can only post new topics within a sub group of the forum.

For instance this thread is within the General CVO Discussion sub group of the forum. It’s the most recent thread within this sub group.

If you back out one level to the General CVO Discussion you should see lined up above “views” a box labeled New Topic. Once you find and click that box you can start a new thread within the General CVO Discussion sub group. This feature works the same on all sub groups within the forum.

Looks good.  The 09 sliver is one of my favorite CVO bike, and was my first CVO.

I finally had to replace one of the saddlebag speakers on my '19.  Fortunately the speaker was not super expensive and it was simple to install.   Sounds great again now.    I ordered a spare from Surdyke to have when the other one fails.   127 Bucks and 11 bucks shipping...
