Post by: CVOJIMMYC on June 24, 2015, 12:24:56 AM
Anyone have or installed the HHI  Hellrazor Reaper kit ? Any tips or tricks?  Ordered the 14" at Myrtle Beach Spring Rally, they are supposed to ship July 1st, I'm pretty stoked and can't wait to do the install  :orange:

I installed Yafee's 12" monkey bars myself.

1) be patient
2) be careful with fly by wire when pulling wires
3) when extending wire be sure to make solid connections and OFFSET the slice locations
4) get some good shrink tubing
5) get a prescription for Valium
6) be patient
7) YouTube is a great resource!

The toughest thing you will find is pulling the wires thru the cut angled section, especially the throttle side (more wires).

When I was pulling the wires I ended up using some dish soap as the fancy wire lubricant wasn't doing the trick.

From start to finish, never doing this before, it took me a full Saturday and half of Sunday.

You're goijg to love the feel of the taller bars.

Good luck!

I have those on my bike.  They are one of the nicest looking sets around.  Every where I go, I am asked about the bars.  They are top notch for sure.  HHI are one of best in HD accessories.

 :confused5:
Yup,  they look "cool",  and likely comfortable................but I'm not a fan of those "sharp" looking edges sticking up which could act just like a sharp knife in an accident where you might get launched over those bars.

Just sayin'
