Here are the wiring diagrams for the 2011 FLTRUSE and FLHTCUSE6 audio overlay harnesses. Due to their size, each is split into two separate pictures. Also included is the "Inner fairing harness" for the FLHXSE2 showing the radio, amp, speaker, and Ipod wiring. I'll add the rest of the SESG2's inner fairing harness later.

Good job on getting the info out there for everyone :2vrolijk_21: :drink:

You are a veritable plethora of information, thanks for your public service. LOL
-
Where does one acquire such knowledge, if I may so boldly ask?
-
Would you happen to know the size of the lower fairing speaker size on the 2011 FLHXSE2? Do you have a wiring diagram for it? Thanks,
-
The wiring diagrams for the SESG2 have been reinserted in reply #4 above.
I have a very good relationship with the folks at my local dealer and I photocopy information from their copies of HD service manuals that interests me.
Oh, the speakers are 6.5".

Got these from Carl (Harleypingman) who has been A LOT of help with making all of this work. Haven't done it yet, but I think other people have. This makes an additional harness to get the XM module to work. The 2nd post is the instructions.

Instructions
Thanks again Carl......

Unless you plan to add more accessories to the SESG2 that require the non-Ultra overlay harness, go with the wiring diagram and instructions posted above by mjb765; much less wiring (the NUOH takes up a lot of room inside the fairing, and less cost).
The notation in the lower left corner of the wiring diagram referring to the 35 wire connector is connector 28 in the wiring diagrams. You already have one on the SESG2 for the Ipod interface module.
Good luck with your project. Let us know how it works.

I have the 12 pin female connector from my overlay. i am not sure what the "terminate with pn 72381-98(x3) means. can you piggyback the few wires on to the ipod side of the connector 275 (274 on my drawing). Also not clear on why my manual says 274 and this drawing shows 275. I was told it would work by a dealer in illinois, by making a "y" so i will try it. thanks carl I MISS MY XM SO BAD.

The "terminate" refers to adding the sockets to the three wires that will go into connector 28.

I haven't checked the connector number difference: 275/274. The HK has two large connections on the back: 23 pinouts, and 35 pinouts.
Let us know how your project turns out.

Congratulations!!! Nice to hear you got the XM to work on a bike HD says "won't fit" and put to use a $500 XM module and $129 harness. ;)

I am having a hard time with a 08 HD electra Glide classic, it won't start I disarm the alarm, and turn it over, as soon as I touch the handel the lights blink, and it won't catch, doesn't seem to be sparking?
Do you have starting and alarm wiring info/ diagrams?

I need some Help understaning how to add the NIM to the 2011 CVO street glide to integrate my GPS. There are many great posts. It was stated the "Y" harness developed XM could be modified for the NIM. After reading I still have a couple of questions. I've enclosed a picture since a picture is worth a thousand words. Any experts out there that can help.

Is the audio wiring diagram of the FLHTCUSE2 different? I have been looking for it but I couldn't find it. :( If someone got it or knows where to find it I will appreciate! :2vrolijk_21:

red/blue to cavity 4 and black/blue to cavity 27 of the 35 pin connector. The tan/red, tan/blue, and the violet/gray are already plugged in to the connector due to the Ipod. That should be it as long as you already tapped the power, ground, the two can buss wires

ticitme provided the correct information. If you check the wiring diagram for the FLTRUSE in the first post of this thread, you'll see the wire assignments in the 35 wire connector into which you are inserting wires into chambers 4 and 27 for the NIM audio. All you are doing is replicating the OEM wiring to the HK head unit for using the Ipod and NIM modules. The head unit in your bike is the same as that in the FLTRUSE, so the wiring to the HK for using these modules is the same. The difference is that HD provided the wiring in a harness on the FLTRUSE and you are fabbing a harness to acomplish the same electrical connections to the HK head unit.
Let us know how your project turns out.

Done & it works. Thanks for the help from those who posted. This is the wiring diagram used to install the NIM into my 2011 CVO Street Glide (FLHXSE2) to work with the Road Tech GPS 660. The GPS voice commands plays through my speakers and when listening to my IPOD, the IPOD will mute for the GPS voice command and then go back to the IPOD.
-
Congratulations on a successful NIM installation on your bike; and, glad to have helped.
Thanks, also, for taking the time to provide the wiring diagram and edit the XM diagram to reflect what you did.

Just installed the NIM using your diagram on a 2012 FLTRXSE and it works as advertised. Many thanks.

I have the NIM on order and will get it before the bike. I plan to try this as soon as I get the bike first week of December or so.
