Best Harley-Sound ever....
« on: December 25, 2008, 06:48:50 AM »

Hello,
I get my new CVO Springer 09 in March and would like my favored mufflers with the best Harley sound
of all times to install (SE torques Mufflers 80388-01). :pepper:
These were build till 2006.
Unfortunately I do not know whether this is easily possible and whether I need a new mounting plate.
If I need a new bracket, wich???Does they fits on later Softails than 2006??? :confused5: :confused5:
Can someone be helpful in the solution of the problem and does anybody know the Torque mufflers?
Unfortunately still nobody loaded the sound into YouTube(its absolutely great)!!!  :nixweiss:
Thanks a lot and
Greetings from Germany........

In Great Britain according to my local stealer you can't get SE mufflers anymore due to Harley's noise policy.  Although that does not stop them from getting in V&H and others as an alternative.  I am not sure if its the same in Germany,  If so you may have to look at second hand options.

I have the 2009 and installed Vance & Hines Big Radius pipes and Woods cams and then the supertune and dyno.  It can't get any better for sound, and seat of the pants feel, unless you go to the extra expense of porting and polishing the top end, but it may not sound any better with the top end work...
Happy trails in 2009! :2vrolijk_21:

That was the case in Germany, too. However, since about a year we've been getting "new" SE sets matching the systems with speed related sound adjustment.

For the Springer, I'd go with an exhaust from BSL, look here http://www.bsl.at/mainframe.htm .

Ride safely,

As one of my winter mods, I installed the Big City baffles into my V&H Big Radius 2 into 2 and it sounds mean.  Can't wait to get it on the road!
