I read a lot here about people retuning remapping after exhaust change
my question is do you have to re-tune if you change the exhaust?

Most probably yes, and definitely yes if you also change the air filter.

EPA requirements result in Harley motors that run right on the ragged edge of too lean... ANYTHING that alters flow for the better makes these issues worse. A less restrictive air cleaner and/or better flowing exhaust push lean motors towards a dangerously lean condition. Yes, you need to remap and give some extra fuel to go with all the extra air.. A little more fuel will result in a cooler runnning motor, more power, and better MPG if done correctly...

That's exactly correct, you gotta remap....and dyno if possible to tune it all in!

I just put Bub 7 slip ons and had mine dyno tuned today!!!

Definitely get it tuned or it will run even hotter. Mine was doing the rear cyl cut off all the time n the city. Mine seems to run cooler and better and today is a hot day here today.

Re-map and Dyno are definitely worth the extra cost to get the most out of the bike.  8)
