Exhaust Slip ons
« on: October 28, 2011, 09:14:27 PM »

Hey guys, Ive seen some different brands of slip ons that you guys have used. Which one has the best deepest "Harley" sound in your opinion? I need to let the wife know for Christmas, but know nothing about them.

I concur. I have them with the V & H dresser duals and they are deep, throaty and fairly loud. Crank the throttle and they are amazing.

Plus, you can't beat the very large diameter for looks.

Had the SE slip ons and they were no louder than the stock.  On my new mc I put the V&H pro pipe and 4" slip on Rinehart's.  Couldn't be happier with the sound and they look outstanding  :2vrolijk_21:

The Hi-Out puts rounds are slip ons.  Much louder and deeper sounding.

Do the Hi Outputs fit on the 2007 CVO Road King? Everywhere I look it says for Road Glide and Street Glide.

As i posted i have a 07 CVO Screamin Eagle Road King, I just installed the V&H HI OUITPUT Slip on's on my bike.
I bought mine from TRI-COUNTY HARLEY-DAVIDSON, Talk to Rebecca 513-874-4343
This is their item# 1801-0398  $519.96 V&H HI-OUTPUT SLIP ON's

If you want to change from stock head pipes to True Duals, Which i think they sound better.

item# 1800-0465  $331.16

The HI-OUTPUT's are different from the V&H Rounds, The H-P's have more free flow for the larger cube motors (according to V&H) and if the baffle that comes with the H-P's are to loud they have a quiet baffle you can get.

If you are not running some sort of fuel management system you will have to purchase one and have it mapped to your bike, I'm runnung Zipper's Thunder-Max with Auto-Tune, With this system you can make changes to exhaust, air flow with out having to take it back to your dealer, it makes changes that are needed. I do not know how far you are from Hayward, California but i would suggest calling Jim at Metal Dragon (hddude on here) they say he is very good at tuning and he can steer you in the right direction on what you need and need to do.

I bought them from a local parts dealer, But they came from Kuryakyn, Jim at Metal Dragon might be able to get them for you, If not i know rebecca at TRI COUNTY H-D can, this is who i buy all my parts from she gives you 20% off list.
