Title: Another strong GMR 113
Post by: T-Roy on March 04, 2015, 10:43:56 AM
Well Steve with GMR finished my bike and man what a fun ride home. She runs like a rocket ship and about three quarters of the way home I realized I could not feel any heat on my right leg. I mean NO heat at all. She is running strong and cool. The attached sheet is standard numbers and I will post the SAE numbers also.

Here are the SAE numbers. I know the Hi Output mufflers are leaving some on the table down low but when I saw she was crossing 100 ft lbs of torque prior to 2500 RPM I was very satisfied and pumped. Stock heads. Steve just cleaned the heads up and installed the beehive springs. The GMR 113 inch kit with GMR 600 cams and the stock throttle body. I also had Steve install a Barnett Scorpian clutch and his Compensaver. Finding neutral is a breeze and the primary is super quiet.

I don't really know the full specs. I trusted it would work based on all the great results I had seen from GMR in the past. Contact Steve with GMR he is a great guy and I am sure would be pleased to help you out.

Roy it was a pleasure meeting you and building your engine..  I am pleased that you enjoy the new found power in a basic kit.. I have one more CVO member's bike coming next Wednesday , for the same 113 kit with our new 600 cam. Pipe is a fulsac DX yea!!!  but CFR mufflers.. So its anyone's guess how that will turn out.

But thus far the 600 has shown great tq in fact no loss over the 577 in the 113 kits and has raised the hp a few as well.. The stock T/b at this point is the largest restriction .. Next testing will be stock heads as well but with a off the shelf SE 58 . For no other reason than its super common.. Myself would drop the HPI 58 elliptical on there and never think twice..

I would bet +10 on the hp. However many will never see the RPM to make the hp as it hits so hard down low..  All of these customers can tell you that these kits pull so hard the need to rev them is not there.

Looks like Steve has got you dialed in  :2vrolijk_21: :2vrolijk_21:

I like the SE 58, mostly because you don't need donor electronics, and it's cheaper...

Yes the SE 58 is a price point item.. works well , even though some post it does not.. But no real data to back it up just " I said so" I feel the SE is a great item and works well for a 98% of all builds. There are better options  though and I am a HPI 58 elliptical guy they are so smooth, smaller cross section huge power.  cost goes up though, you need a donor unit , etc.

I dropped off my bike today. (The one Steve mentioned above). I want Steve to think about using the elliptical 58MM intake on it. I'll be the guinea pig if he wants. Yes, I know CFRs are not the best pipes but I love the sound! I can't wait to bring "Sylvia" home and spank my riding buddies Azz!

Nice work and those are the numbers I'd expect on a 113.
