Hey good folks, it's been a while. Still alive and riding here, just got back from a beautiful ride through NorCal and hit 30K on my 2015 FLTRUSE. I'm bringing it in for the 30K service at the dealer and I think I'm going to have him go ahead and do the lifters just for peace of mind. Also the water pump upgrade I guess based on reading through some threads etc... I still have a couple years left on the ESP but I don't ride local much and I'll most certainly lose a tappet in the middle of Kansas or something and I just don't want deal with that out there. Besides that the ECM has been flashed with a TTS tuners years ago so whatever, the GM at my dealer is willing to look the other way whenever he can so it is what it is.
So, S&S lifters and pushrods right?
Obviously the water pump kit, nothing wrong with it so far but again, for a few hundred bucks the peace of mind is worth it to me.
Anything else you folks might suggest doing while the bike is in there? I love the bike and I just don't see any reason for a new one at this point.

I agree on the lifters but see no need on the pushrods. While they are there probably another hour labor to remove valve covers and use stock pushrods. Most times that is less than adjustable (heavier, more moving parts) pushrods. Just my opinion.

Thanks Don, I was actually wondering about that... I understand moving more weight means more wear and generally more problems (potentially) at higher RPM's. I'll talk to my service guy and see what the cost difference is, probably little or none considering I'd be using the stock pushrods then? Looks like the S&S rods are around $200 so it might be a wash. I just didn't really know how much labor was involved in doing it that way, I guess I assumed since so many people use the adjustable ones that it was extensive enough to warrant that.

Not sure what "Inner Cam bearings" are fitted as standard to your bike, but if the cheaper ones with the plastic cage, I would change them out, also don`t forget to check the crank runout.

I'll bring that up to the manager, thank you.

Full compliment bearings in a 2015

SE tapered pushrods are fine. I'd recommend adjustables, as it's just a matter of time until you'll need to replace the lifters again.

I would change out the bearing to a new fresh one for the small cost.

What does this mean/entail/include? Sorry... HVAC guy here, not a V-twin tech. ;)

No problem!
The major bearing manufacturers make a heavy duty b-168 (or equivalent number) needle bearing which has a full compliment of rollers. The light duty version are also known as skip bearings. They have a cage spacer and half the rollers. There are published specs for those that are interested that show the reduced capacity. Harley began using the heavy duty bearings in the 2013 MY if I am correct on the CVO motors.

Okay thank you... As I understand it then the CVO OEM bearings (being a 2015) are adequate, but go ahead and change them out. Are we talking just cam bearings here? Any additional?
Thank you!

Just cam bearings, check the oil pump and crank runout
