Have all of you guys that are running Zippers .575 cams had to clearance the case. Thanks.

Generally they will fit but Its best to check for proper clearance. I have done some that required it.

I've had the same experience Jim mentioned. Put in several sets of those cams and remember two needing to be clearanced.

Put them in (or attempt to) and see if they fit.

Check by installing them and turning by hand. Use a feeler gauge to verify clearance between lobe and case. Look for at least .060"

Yeah, what Dude said. I always checked for .050". He's smarter than me though so I'm changing as of now.

So I picked a set of Red Shift .575 cams for good deal. Unfortunately I space the fact that I need conversion cams to upgrade to the "07" hydraulic cam plate upgrade. I already purchased all the parts needed for the upgrade and would like to continue with this upgrade. However, Red shift does not make the .575 in a "conversion cam" can anyone suggest a cam that would give similar results as the Red Shift .575. Thanks.

If you don't mind lots of valve train noise, the Wood TW7H is offered in a conversion cam. It's a .575" lift cam with an early intake close that improves bottom end and midrange torque. I've never seen it directly compared to the Red Shift 575, but based on specs it should be similar.

I installed a set in a bike that belongs to one of the locals. I never rode it. Was only the free labor. So can only share anecdotally what the bike's owner did and said.
Not the same engine as yours so take it all for what you will. He was going from 88 to 98. Bike was about 10:1 with a little head work. He started with the conversion version of the TTS 100 and rode it for a week. He complained all week about it being "a little noisy" and coming in later than he wanted. I never rode it but running in the shop at idle or above I personally didn't think the valve train noise was all that bad. Perhaps it was worse on the road.
The next weekend (maybe two weekends, not sure) he went to an Andrews 48 in the conversion version. He immediately liked that one better.
Like I said, I didn't ride the bike either way. So for whatever it's worth; there you go.
Did Cole ever share the specs on that cam?

Is that plate Moco or Zippers?

Do you guys do any valve spring upgrade with these cam changes?
