The "easy" break-in routine is bs. Here's how you do it:

Every new vehicle I've owned I broke in hard whether it was a bike, car or truck. All of them ran great with no troubles and never used any oil between changes. I'm a firm believer in "drive it like you stole it". When I rode this brand-new one home from Erie, I varied the speed up/down from 0-triple digits many times and it runs like a champ. Believe the easy routine if it makes you feel warm and fuzzy, but I know what works for me and I will never change it.

I have 700 miles on my new 124 and I am following S&S's break in. Very frustrating for sure, but I broke in my 120r with the "all out" theory and blew it up after 18000 miles so thought I would try this. If this one blows up I will buy a Honda..

I thought 120Rs were built to blow up no matter what?   :nixweiss:
