Since we are talking about add ons and locks etc. I haven't seen any posts on this so far.
Anyone know about getting the locks on the chopped tour pak keyed to my bike key ?

I never lock any of the boxes anyway but might want to some time and don't want to mess with 2 different keys.

The dealer had a match made for my key number...but I won't be able to test it until May 11, when I bring the Bike in for it's scheduled 1000mile service and the Dealer wants to fit it for me at that time.  It is a 50 mile ride to the shop and I am sitting at 965 miles, the torture!

Ur kidding right?  Keep riding...a few extra miles won't hurt anything.  I took mine in at 1200.  Even got a loaner Fat Boy while they kept mine.  Is there any reason to not ride your bike a little further than the recommended mileage?  I've never heard any reason.

I made my 1,000 mile service appointment the same day that I took delivery of my bike.  I made it for two weeks later.  I was within 50 miles of that 1,000 in two weeks.

I had over 600 in the first 5 days...unfortunately that was when we had some nice weather the end of Feb.  I knew it would not last, most of March and early April sucked around here.

Hey Bill, how is the wiring routed for the saddlebag spoilers?  I removed the painted filler strips on my bike because I like being able to see the rear wheel, pulley, and other mechanical stuff back there that the filler strips hid.  Now I'd like to add the saddlebag spoilers and lights to match my tour-pak spoiler, but am concerned I'll notice the wiring too much.  Is it just hanging around back there?

Here you can see the gray wires just below the air suspension line:

And here , with the bag seperated, the connector is obvious:

No problem!

Someday I will upgrade the connectors since I hate to see the wires exposed from the sheath...but I was in too much of a hurry to get them on to worry about that touch.

Just an inch or so, not much but it looks sloppy.  That's what they gave.  I hight change the connector to one with a better backshell that can cover the wires with the sheath.

Then again, maybe some electrical tape will get me through the season.

They used to make a heat shrink tape.....once you heated it, you'd have to cut it off.  It just kind of shrinks and bonds together, similar to heat shrink tubing.  Haven't saw anybody with it for quite awhile.

I have a friend that's and automotive electrician.  I'll see if it's still around and what it's called.
