Title: FoxCreek /BRP trip
Post by: nidan on October 18, 2007, 11:01:17 AM
Some pics of my trip Oct 16/17 up to Fox Creek and back , 824 miles of bliss.
The girl at Fox Creek was very helpful, picked up a "Black Rock " jacket that fits like it was custom made, and a belt . Now I have a set with the braided cest and chaps , and deerskin gloves.

The southern end hasn't come into full color, so if you are thinking about it , catch it in the next 2 weeks !

Oh .. the new jacket is awesome .. the waist adjust inside , even has a detachable neck gaiter and zip out insulated vest.  You can also put in elbow/shoulder and back pads if you want.

Nidan, the pics look great.  Jamey and I only got pics in our minds from last weekend, but yours shows some of the colors we saw on the BRP.  Thanks for sharing yours.  I love that you are lovin that new bike of yours. Looks great!

A different kind of horsepower, this was right across from the Northwest Trading Post , they had really good coffee there !  Thanks Felix, I love it! With the 103 and the six speed it is a good combo, I'm very partial to the SEEG's but couldn't find a good deal on one.  I added the "stealth " rack before the trip and IDS.

Those horses are beautiful!

No major engine modifications on my bike, just the 95 kit (I think that's what it's called) and diamond cut heads. I am very happy with it like it is. If I was to buy an SEEG , it would definitely be the '05 Cherry!!! :cherry:

I think you're just about right on that one.  Two weekends prior to your shots at Linville, it looked about like the southern end did this past weekend.  Linville's looking pretty good now!  Great pictures and thanks for sharing.  I agree, those folks at Fox Creek are great.  We rode up by there a couple of weeks ago.  I love my deerskin gloves from them.  Really comfortable and amazingly warm!  The next time you ride up that way, let us know and maybe we can meet up and ride some.  I love the BRP, it's just one of those relaxing rides with amazing scenery the entire way.  Take care and ride safe.

Thanks Craig!  I think the BRP is a national treasure, especially in fall. In all my years of riding (38) I can't think of a better bike road.
