SE and X
« on: January 20, 2008, 11:03:45 AM »

What are the differences between the CVO v-rod and the X ?
I always thought they were more or less the same except for esthetics

They have the same motor (virtually...the heads are slightly different on the SE models, as those were the first 1250's), frames are slightly different (X has a 5 gal tank), same brakes on the 06 SE, but there is a lot of differences in the asthetics...different bars, grips, WAY more chrome, different gauges.  About 6 thousand dollars worth of difference in parts, or more.

Both are FAST...

I had no idea what you were referring to until I went back up and looked at the title.  I've been married too long....  (don't tell the war dept. I said that!)

i was ready to buy a CVO when out of no ware came the X, there was something about her that pulled me to change, maybee the cartoon colors or the fact that it commemorates someone's victory, I've owned many bikes but the X has its own soul, or maybe i drank too much

Same happened to me Bruno. I had a VRODSE '05 and I went in the dealer and as soon as saw the X I proposed the salesman to accept my '05 in trade, one hour later I went out riding the X.......I chromed all of her.........and changed the seat and handlebar..I love it!!
