Hiway pegs
« on: January 19, 2011, 03:12:07 PM »

what hi way pegs are you using and what would look good on the SG,I don't want something that would stand out and take away from the looks of the bike. I need to put a set on because of bad knees so I can stretch out my legs every once in awhile . I think slim ones would like better then large round ones.

Move your passenger pegs up front.  Use whatever brackets you prefer to position correctly.  Check on all FLH/FLT boards here...we've all done it if it didn't come that way.

I used the small billet mounts HD sells...$100.

Then get the ultra's floor boards for the rear to match your footboards...more threads on that here too.

Thats a great idea, never thought of that. I have adjustable foot rest for my wife that I am taking off my 08 and putting on new one. I like the looks of the rear pegs but never thought of useing them that way. I knew you guys would think of something. what a great place to solve problems.

The only consideration is that the collection used on the 11 SESG is called the "rumble" collection and the parts are not in the P&A catalog.  If you want to get the floorboards in the rumble collection for your passenger, that will be just over $500 for the set up.  Instead I left the pegs in the passenger position and then bought another set of rumble collection pegs and an adjustable peg mount for the crash bar.  I am happy with the look since everything matches.  Check out my you tube video which is high definition and gives you a good view of the pegs and everything else.  Thanks.

I concur...I did the same thing for mine and love the look...I didn't even know that there were footboards in this collection, but looking at the cost of them...I would've chosen the same result.

Is it possiable to buy just the floorboard not the whole set up for the pass rear. I have adjustable pegs in rear with a floorboard but I want to get just the floorboard for rear to match driver floorboard. where can I buy one?

I can tell you that when I wanted to order the pegs for up front, I had to get the numbers from either the dealership parts guy or in the 11FLHXSE2 CVO specific supplements for the repair manual. They weren't in the P&A catalog. So if what Beemer is saying is that the 11 SEUC has the same Rumble collection, then you would have to go the same route to get the #'s for the Passenger Floorboards. That is unless Beemer already has them handy...

Hey Retro...take a look at the thread...FINNALY MY RIDE HAS ARRIVED. I installed the Rumble Collection swept wing boards which are the same as the CVO Ultra and Road Glide. I made my passenger pegs my highway pegs.

Kuryaken mounts.  That looks like it might be the short mount.  I have the long mount.....

What I like about the low mount is I'm able to ride with my heel on the floor board and my toes up on the highway pegs at a very comfortable position and still within very close proximity to my brake by just pivioting on my heel.

Will this mount work on the stock mustache bar?

A friend of mine has the mustache bar on his bike and has HD pegs on it, so I am pretty sure they are the same diameter as the standard bars.

Actually I used part #50830-07A
which are the short angled mounts found in the P&A catalog.  They fit perfectly around the lower fairing.  They can be rotated a full 360 degrees to give you many different positons, high/low, and forward or back.  Good Luck.
