That dealer is the perfect description of the word "Stealer". He just let you know that he will take advantage of you or any other customer for profit.
What's the Stealership's name so our CVOHARLEY members can be sure to stay away.
I just went and looked at a Silver and Black and a Ultra Violet and Lava at two separate dealers. I really liked the silver and black, but this dealer wanted $48,000 for the bike!!! I told the sales manager he was out of his mind! Then he says he'd go down to $41,000....I laughed! The other one is at MSRP. I don't get how they can charge over MSRP! His justification is that it's gonna hold its value....lol!

The saying goes,,,, There's an ASS for every seat.
Some people have more dollars than sense. Paying over MSRP for any CVO or Non-CVO is just plain STUPID.Wonder what they would do/say if someone asked them to put that in writing on thy purchase agreement and held them to their word when they wanted to trade the bike in... my guess is they would be retracting so fast you'd get sucked into a deep dark hole. ;) :D :D
Any Stealer who tells you that any paint color is going to be worth more in trade-in or resale down the road than any other color is just making that up to make a sale. There is absolutely no way to know that on new bikes. The only way one paint color is going to fetch more on resale than any other paint color is if you happen to find a buyer who is in love with that particular color and will pay more for it… and that's a quite dicey assumption.
It used to be a truism that bikes made in a particular and "rare" color would fetch more on resale. But, with all the CVO models they are pumping out these days, I don't think that will be true in the future... if it ever really was.
Unless it's Hot Citrus, of course! LOL

I love that color!
Dealer closest to me in MA always asks $10k over MSRP for a CVO. Last year they did that on the Limited. This year same on the SG's. I do all my service there so I gave them 1st shot at selling me a SG CVO. Told me the same $10k story. I wound up going to my old dealer in NJ when I lived there. They got me one at MSRP, they how they do all deals. I flew there and drove her back. I will not pay over MSRP. Kills the market for everyone else.
The free enterprise system is the American Way. Dealers are free to ask whatever they want for their products and customers are free to buy or tell them to pound sand. That being said, I won't even buy a Tee Shirt from a dealer who charges more than list for a bike.Very reasonable
I just bought a CVO Streetglide this weekend. Payed MSRP with no freight or dealer prep charges and the dealership is storing the bike over the winter at no charge. Great deal? No, but I thought it was reasonable.

Very reasonable! This dealer should take some notes. He's in Southeast Michigan Nicky. Shouldn't be more than a few hours from you. Maybe you should expand your radius a little.
Or ruby red!

You guys are soooo lucky that you don't live in Sweden, like I do!
I just paid $56,800 for my FLHXSE (Hard Candy Mercury / Smoky Quartz Flames) with SE tuner, Monster rounds, detachable sissy and luggage rack.
So, your $45,000 would be a bargain to me! 8)

Yeah but you have great healthcare and elderly care. :D
I looked at a yellow and black one. They told me 38995. And msrp is what ?? 32-3436,349
That dealership sounds like one i went to a month ago. A manager told me the hard candy silver CVO street glide was 7k over MSRP. I told him no thanks. Went back recently and they still had it on the floor. A sales person told me it would sell for 4k over. I again said no thanks. The dealer was Lakeshore Harley in the Chicago area. I have one coming any day at MSRP.

After seeing this bike in person and sitting on it.
It's not the bike for me.

All I can say to that is that I'm quite pleased with the selling price I received for my '05 Teal last week. It is a rare bike and of course it helped that the buyer loved the colour.

I purchased a 2015 UV/Molten Lava at Kerstings HD at retail, plus they installed the SE passenger backrest and docking kit to boot. Also, gave me top retail on my 07 FLTH on trade. I'm happy! Great, family owned dealer. They have my business from this point on.The passenger backrest and docking kit should come stock on a 36 K touring bike.
I just bought my 7th Harley, first CVO last Wednesday morning. Also the first used Harley, all the others I bought new. A 2012 CVO Street Glide with 2100 miles, Couldn't be happier! I took a huge hit selling my 2014 Limited that I just never bonded with. Picking up this perfect 2012 for just under 28K more than made up for it. The used market on high end bikes is always a good place to shop. This pic was taken on my ride home from Eugene Oregon to Lake Havasu just last week. Riding Lassen solo this late in the year may not have been bright, but I pulled it off!
Nice, congrats......best color. :2vrolijk_21:
What? Hehe. Best CVO SG made but you know RED is the fastest and best color! :huepfenlol2:uh huh,,,,,, just wait until Steve gets done with it. lol

Did the previous owner add the aux lights, hiway pegs, taller w/s, & aftermarket seat?
Previous owner added all that stuff except for the tall windshield. That was my first stop at Redding HD, the shorty was killing me.Steve the way you ride...
Spots are coming back off. The Rineharts came off five minutes after I got home, my ears are still ringing. Love the Corbin, its going no where! I have already dynoed it with two different headpipes and muffler combos, best so far is 102HP 114 TQ. Vtune 3 is working great. I'm a little worried about the stock crank. Going to find out how much run out it has pretty soon. That will determine if the cases get split before the 113 top end happens. That should keep those pesky RED ONES in check.Lol..Playing with the AC today. Who said the Heavy Breather doesn't fit with lower speakers? Mine clears fine.
