Did a nice New Years Day lunch ride with a bunch of bikes, then 7 of us continued for a nice ride in the hills of East TN.  A 192 mile ride for me.  Packing up to head off for work for 21 days now.  So I'll be hooking up the battery tender.

Gave the girl an oil change.

Do ya think the dealer used enough thread sealant last time I was in  :wideeyed:

Indeed. I mean, I have seen a dab used at the base by orings before but it looks like they dipped the whole drain plug in a tub of sealant lol

Got rid of that License Plate Bracket!

Where'd you get the color matched mount?

Might be able to get it cheaper elsewhere.   Then have it painted to match.

Sort of... 2019 Street Glide CVO - Charred Steel and Lightning Silver.  The rear fender is charred steel.

I have a paint code that is an excellent match for the Lightning Steel however your bike is basically the opposite scheme from the Road Glides.   I assume that you would want the License Plate bracket Charred Steel.     I am sure that a good body shop can match it up.     Many of the bigger body shops have a device called a Spectrophotometer,  PPG calls theirs a "Prophet"    It is basically a high quality scanner that pulls up the formula for a paint code.    They would place it on the Charred Steel portion and scan it and then it spits out a formula to mix it from the pigments in their paint room.

The brackets really do clean up the rear end on a domestic bike creating a clean "Waterfall" look on the rear fender.

Thanks, Zak!  The paint code for the Lightning Silver will definitely come in handy, so please do share.

What paint did you use to match the Lightning Silver?

Well I stumbled on it completely by accident.  When I brought the new bike home and had it all cleaned up outside in the sunshine...    It was parked next to my 2017 Ford Escape.   The metal flake, color, everything was dead on.     The texture was a little different but that is because Harley color sands and buffs the finishes smooth and Ford did not.   I checked it over and over in different lightings and it looked good.    So I had my Yaffe Bracket finished 2017 Ford Color Code: UX/M7226   Ingot Silver Metallic.    Worked out great.
