2 into 1 systems
« on: October 12, 2009, 12:29:51 AM »

Has anyone put a 2 into 1 on the ultraSE? If so what brand did you go with and why? What is your performance like? What is the low and mid range torque like? Do yo have a picture of what it looks like on your bike? Thanks

I have had many 2:1 systems on various HDs 96", Jims 120 SE 103", mostly used the V&H ProPipes and on the last 04 SEEG used a Supertrapp Supermeg 2:1 Pipe. I really like the 2:1 pipes for performance and I do not mind the look of the back with only the one pipe. I am considering the 2:1 HD Header Pipe probably again with the Supertrapp Supermeg Muffler. However, you will find a lot of owners who still prefer the look of two pipes out the back. For these they can run a "Falsie" a cosmetic pipe that provides the look of two exhaust pipes with the performance of a 2:1.

It's not an Ultra but I went with the D&D.    The D&D is a good performer,  you can get them with a std baffle or quiet baffle and one is loud and the other is louder.  You should be able to check out the website for some photos.

I have the D&D with the performance baffle on my 08 SEUC.
It is loud !!!!!! considering headsets or quieter baffle to
hear the sound system.

I have a D&D fatcat with quiet performance baffle going on my 09 flhtcuse4 Tuesday night if I get time, maybe. The bike is due its 5k service  500 miles ago..Shame on me.

Its been jet hot coated and sitting on the shelf for quite a while now.  The upside to 2-1 aside performance is the left saddle bag staying cool for longer ice life in the cooler...just sayin.

A Rinehart 2-1 is on my wife's Dyna,..it is a little loud and obnoxious but the bike runs well..

I had the Vance and Hines Pro Pipe on my 08 Street Glide.  Loved the sound and the performance they provided.  Like others have said the D&D Fat Cat is very poplular plus if you want the twin pipe look, they have the "ghost pipe" for the left side.  Two into one will give you the best performance.

I have the Fatcats with quiet baffle on my 08. I am happy with the performance, but the loudness gets tiring on even short rides. I am also not very happy with the quality of the chrome - they scratch and stain easily.
