Tried one on yesterday - pretty nice.  $329 less 10%...

Anyone have one?

Correct!

Alright, I think I found it on the web. Having you given it a ride at speed yet?
Do they have pockets for speakers?

One of the drawbacks to my current FF is the lack of ear pockets.
The EXO looks good, would like to try on and see if I could get my glasses on, the problem I have with most of the non flip helmets I have tried.

They're the only company I ever knew of that marketed a motorcycle "snow" helmet for poor weather.

And they are marketing it as fog free, that would be plus

No, just looking at this point, wondering about anyone with one...  It looks like a nicely made helmet and was fairly comfortable, it runs small.  I have two other FF helmets, both HJC, both XL.  This one was XXL and was snug.  Has a neat flip down visor, and is purportedly fog free which is why I am wanting it, I am getting tired of the fog in my HJC C-14.

Have to check the speaker thing - good point.

I have several Scorpion helmets. The no fog shield blows my Shoei pin lock system away. The 400 and 700 series helmets fit me a bit tight in the chin area. The 1000 has a slightly different shell design to it. I have had this shield only fog up once and I was using it beyond its intended use. I was four wheeling in the snow on a god awful cold night. Other than that I would say the shield is the best I have owned to date. The helmet is OK, not quite as quiet as my high end helmets but for a $200-$300 helmet it is worth the money. I'd like to see more design/graphic options. ;)

Sean

The cheek pads are removable and are offered in several different thickness'. From what I recall from the sale pitch there are only three different shell sizes and the rest is done with the pads.

Thanks!  Concur with the color/graphics.  Going to go Silver - since I use it on the Gold and Red bikes...goes with both.

I would say that depends on the size of the speakers. I wear my Ear Inc headphones with no discomfort what so ever. There is a cut out around the ear and I believe that is why I feel the helmet is a little noiser than my other helmets.

I have two of their hemlets but I do not wear them often.  However when I do I have been pleased with the product.

I tried a Scorpion 1000 on while in Daytona this past week. The 1000 has a slightly larger shell than the 400/700 which is a bonus as it fits me better. The flip down shield is nice if it aligns with your field of sight. I found that it ended a little to short for me. This is something that I may or may not like when riding. I do wear glasses as it tends to keep the debris out of my eyes. I even wear clears as opposed to just using the clear shield. I'm considering picking one up and having it painted as Scorpion doesn't have much in the way of graphics.

yeah, they do lack colors!  I was going to go the silver route...chrome"ish" and goes with Gold and Red...

Thanks for the feedback - I can get one for retail - 10% at the local dealer and may be able to beat it down a bit more with the "season" ending

I have 2 friends with the Scorpion helmets and they both swear by them.  One of them has the 1000 and he showed me where the speakers go in the helmet, so yes you have a place for speakers.  I liked the flip down inner shield (I think they call it the "speed shield") and my friend told me he doesn't have to worry about sunglasses at all then.  I suppose, as someone else mentioned, it may not be it the perfect field of vision for everyone, but it sure looked like it dropped down far enough that it should work for about anyone.  Anyway, this is all second hand knowledge that I'm tossing out here.

I had looked around and I didn't find anyone giving anything off on these, so you are probably doing well to find 10% off.  I checked ebay also, and found them selling on there for full retail.

Bought the 1000 for the ride to Maggie valley while on the highway.  First full helmet and it was great.  On those chilly mornings, it still fogged up a bit but cleared while moving.  Condensation (not fog) built up on the bottom of the shield if I had the shield closed.  This helmet has a feature where you push the small lever and it raises the shield about 1/2" which is enought to stop the moisture build up.  I did a bit of shopping and for $329 it is a good value.

Was thinking hard this morning about an Exo - was raining and 42 and my visor was just one huge fog mess.

I hate cold weather, but I hate cold rainy weather the most.

Might have to concede and drive to work Thur and Friday - supposed to be 18 Friday morning, that is just too damn cold to ride.

I haven't tried it yet, but my buddy at the dealer swears by this product.

Fogcity  - Fog shield

This link is one of many googles

The price has kept me away, but after spending $30 at last years NYC motorcycle show on products that did not work I'll be trying it this spring.
