Title: Create Playlist for USB Flash Drive using iTunes
Post by: Cat Eye on March 21, 2020, 10:48:38 AM
If you want to use your iTunes playlist on your Boom via USB Flash Drive.  This is what I did using iTunes and a Windows PC

It is a 2-step process
1.   Copy your music library from iTunes to a USB Flash Drive
2.   Export your playlist file to USB Flash Drive

Copy your music library from iTunes to a USB stick
-Open itunes
-In the iTunes directory under Library click on “Songs”
-You should now see all the songs in your library.
-Select all of them and drag and drop or copy and paste them into your USB Flash Drive.

Export your playlist file (This is done for each playlist)
-Select the playlist in iTunes that you want to export.
-Click "File" on top menu to open the drop-down list
-Select "Library" → "Export Playlist."
-Choose your USB Flash Drive as the location to save the file.
-Choose the format you want to save the playlist as. (I used *m3u)) Supported Playlists are ASX, WPL, M3U, PLS, XML, RMP.

When the Flash Drive is plugged into the USB port you should be able to select and play your Playlists along with searching and playing any artist, song or Album in the Music Library.  Album photos will also be displayed.

I used a 32GB 3.0 Flash Drive and so far no issue.
