Handlebar Swap?
« on: August 05, 2011, 06:24:25 PM »

Did a search and didn't find the answer.
Just got a 2011 CVO Road Glide Ultra. Thinking about swapping the handlebars for the reduced ones.
The parts and accessories states "won't fit with heated grips, that are wired internally, hydraulic clutch kit, and a couple of other things".
Well, it's got those on there now and both bars are 1 inch.
So, anyone attempted or changed out the bars on one that has the heated grips and hydraulic clutch? If so, did you use HD or aftermarket?
I need about 1 1/2 to 2 inches more pullback.

Thanks

I had Wild One bars installed on mine.  About 2" pull back.  I believe they are 517's. All wires fit inside and heated grips work.

Thanks Winhawk.
Did you have to replace any of the lines or extend the wires. The Wild 1 website says the stock ones work. Just wanted to make sure.

Thanks again.

Did not have to replace the wires. Tech said it was a tight fit, but he got all the wires inside.
