Great color :2vrolijk_21:
The 1.25 bars look at home too! nice add for '13

Matches the boat and the boat ornament! :2vrolijk_21: ;D

Wow, that really looks good. HD did not do a good job with their pictures. Love the paint treatment on the rear. I bet it looks even better in person!
-
I think it would have looked better had they painted the inner fairing one of the colors on the rest of the MC. :nixweiss:

X2. Why the heck did they do that? :'(

Part of what sets the CVO RG apart from the regular ones is the painted inner fairing. Not sure why they chose to paint it in the muted secondary color. :nixweiss:

Crusty, you have a beautiful SG :2vrolijk_21:
-
Congrats. Very, very nice.

Looks great! :2vrolijk_21:

I love the color. I think it would look even better with chrome bars and everything chrome on the top. The black doesn't do much for me. Really similar to the 12 sg. With a fixed fairing of course. :)

Are those the stock bars? Whats with the gap between the master cylinder and taper on the bar? Now I don't feel so bad about my custom bars that my local couldn't mate nicely.

I'm not crazy about that gap either. I don't know, but it seems like the bar could be trimmed for a better fit in that area. :confused5:

Isn't the inner fairing the same color as the stripe on the tank, side covers, rear fender, front fender and saddlebags? :nixweiss:

yes, I dont understand why they think it dont match? the 12 used the second color also on the inner fairing....
-
Bump the price a couple Grand and no riders Backrest?
:bananarock: :bananarock:
Brad
-
For me that's great as I don't want any of that stuff, no back rests, tour pacs, lowers, etc.
I like that the passenger seat comes off, sweet. :mango: :pineapple:
Hot Rod mode most of the time. :2vrolijk_21:

Call me stupid....but what is the second rocker switch on the right side of your gauge cap? One is obviously for the cruise control....but the 2nd one? Pretty sure my buddy's '12 doesn't have that.

I don't know about the '12 Skunk...but, on the '12 Maple, the inner fairing is in the Primary Color --- Maple Metallic.

The second rocker switch next to the cruise control switch is for Accessories and is labeled ACC --- and yes the 12's had the same set-up

Doh! I forget about the useless ACC switch. Thanks for the reminder.

On the skunk the inner fairing is the Lower secondary color, stardust black.
On the blue, I believe the inner fairing is the lower secondary color also.

Has anyone gotten a good look at the CVO Anniversary color. Does it pop? Looks somewhat drab online. I'm trying to decide between the Crushed Burgandy or Anniversay scheme on the FLHRSE5.

I saw both colors this weekend. The Crushed Burgundy is really very striking-the paint has gold flecks and in the sun it is really dramatic. I don't normally like red bikes but this one was sweet with all of the contrasting chrome. The Anniversary paint scheme is a litle more muted but very rich looking and it looks much better outside in natural light. It is more gray than blue and has other metallic colors that appear in direct sunlight. The Blacked out engine helps add to the muted look.

That's probably a good call on the Skunk....otherwise you'd go blind

I had the silver 09 CVO road glide, and with the bright sun to your back the gages and inner fairing blinded you. So you are right.

What do you think of this bike? I spoke to a dealer and he considered this bike to be the creme of the CVO crop this year after seeing the bikes at the dealer show, but I know that it's always a personal preference thing. Just curious about what you thought seeing it in person!
-
The bike was very nice the the orange color looks great without being to bright the grey looks more silver and goes well with the accent color the stripes. i like it want to see the gold one before i choose which one have a deposit made.
-
I've got a deposit on this one and look forward to seeing it before making a purchase decision. With most bikes seeing the paint out in the sun makes a huge difference. Thanks for the photos!

Hey Stever, if you watch this video through, you'll get a few seconds of the Roman Gold/Burnt Emerald RG. Here it is: http://youtu.be/0Lj5Abg7Scw (http://youtu.be/0Lj5Abg7Scw)

Looks like the saddle bag speakers are color coordinated with the gold color. Looks good!

After seeing one of these at a dealer the other day. It only takes a moment to like the looks of that color on the inner fairing. Then again, opinions are like......
-
Not impressed with the RG this year.

Sold my 2010 SE Ultra with the intentioin of buying a Road Glide. I looked at the Aniversary color yesterday. I didn't ask them to take it outside in the light but I passed on it. I liked the color combinations last year better. I like chrome not the black chrome. I didn't care for the black engine either - the black case just didn't seem right. I don't want to pay that much for an SE and then have to change out handlebars, mirrors and controls. I am going to buy a regular custom and start buying things for it.
