2-1 VS 2-1-2 Exhaust Horse Power
« on: October 20, 2019, 09:18:05 PM »

First off I know that a 2-1 exhaust makes more horsepower than a 2-1-2 does. I know different companies/ different designs will change it also. I am not looking for a new exhaust.

Having said all of that, if a bike is making 110 hp with brand X 2-1 exhaust what would you expect it to make with brand X 2-1-2 exhaust?

Lots of variables go with it, but I will say 106-107 Hp.. So 3-4 less with the 2-1-2 system..

The best 2-1-2 and the best 2-1 go toe to toe in this cam shoot out. That's right, Fullsac Performance VS D+D.
Fast forward to 12:50 and 17:00 for the exhaust discussion if the headpipe comparison is your only interest. Pay attention to the shape of the TQ curve between the two designs. One thing that was never really talked about was the difference in sound level. Huge is an understatement. The cam info was good too.

Awesome work Steve! You have done a great job with this pipe and are definitely at the head of your class! Makes me glad I kept your pipe and didn't do a D&D on my bike. Really like the sound with 2 inch baffles as my last bike wore on me after a while with the D&D.

So glad I did my research and went with Fullsac. I love the sound, power and the look of a stock exhaust.
Kind of puts that myth of 2:1 is better than 2:1:2...

Really not much of a surprise for those of us that have run your combos for years.
As close as you can get for the best of both worlds. I like to call it stealth performance!
Good job Steve

This was one of the most informative post on combo comparisons I have seen. Maybe I missed it but what tuner was used, were the throttle  body and injectors changed? Also , I have seen other post and graphs with great results from what I recall as the TTS 150 cam.

Thank you
