Can you really ride a VRod that long without having parts of your body go in to open rebellion?

Its perfect for teresa's height.  Unfortunatly since we ride together that means extra gas stops for me.  I can't get the needle below 3/4 of a tank before she is flagging me down for gas.   ;D .  She suffers the same problem my 02 Harley F-150 suffers - she can pass everything on the road except a gas station  ;D.  Have a great one ya'll  [smiley=banana.gif]

V,

I hear ya, but I am fine with the 100 mile tank on this model.  Not that I am seeking a break, but with all the mods v. this model I'll take my chances on the resale value.

Temping though...

Another statement I should make...

I have NEVER viewed the V-Rod as more than a bar bike = short rides not intended upon touring for Jock

Teresa wont bail on her 05.  She loves it too much.  I just have to remember to stop when I get to 3/4 of a tank on my SEEG or she will run out of gas ;D

Just wait until she gets comfortable on her bike. She's going to be waiting at the gas station all filled up and wondering why it took you so long to catch up. ;D That is until you get your go fast goodies. ;)

I also had '02 Harley F-150 and I was lucky to have it sold right before the hurricane Wilma hit South Florida...after that hurricane we had serious problems in getting gas becasue the 90% of South Florida didn't have power and the gas stations didn't have generators (now it's a requirement)....but my wife and I miss that truck.....it was awesome!!

Ride Safe mi amigo,
Jorge

The new Nightrod is downright nasty looking. I thought my Screamin Eagle V-Rod was hot, but this beast looks like it means business sittin still. Anyone know what the price tag is. My bro in Ormand Beach FL wants one, but he refuses to do business with Fat Bastard's Destination Daytona. He's telling me Ocala H-D is the best deal around, but was curious what kind of scratch he's lookin at before he rides up to Ocala.

There's one of these on the showroom floor in Pelham, AL at Heart of Dixie HD.  I think the tag on it says 18K.  You are right, Spider, it is a bad looking ride just sitting still.  Wicked would be a good word....

I'd be curious to see how the forward controls and the short handle bars feel. But it does look hot. 8-)

Yeah, Ed...me too.  I'm thinking it would be good for cruising, but not much for handleing. The pipes on the thing look NICE  [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]

Pipes do look great but I think mid controls and having the seat a little higher like the Street Rod. I'm an arm chair designer, never happy. ;D ;D

I had them all over for a poker night.  Showed everyone the site (by everyone I mean my Father 07Fatboy, Mother 05duce, Sister-in-law 07 Nightrod special, and brother Just sold his fatboy looking for next ride).  They all liked what they saw and of course I bragged on yall telling them what great people are here.  My father is looking hard at the SERoadking.  I think my mother is hopeing he buys it because she wants the SEDyna.  I am not sure what my brother is looking for but he is in the market for something.  Have a great one and ride safe

That's it Jerry,
In my search to find an Mirage Orange Pearl 07 Road Glide at a dealership within 50 miles of my house today to show wifey ( No luck 5 dealerships)  I saw a NightRod on the floor at El Cajon H-D next to an 07 SEVROD. The NightRod put the SEVROD to shame looks wise. I love wire wheels, but the cheapo 40 spoker on the new SEVROD sucks if you ask me, and the same chitty exhaust system compared to the flat track looking system on the NightRod.

For that price, It's a no brainer. Buy the Nightrod, put a 1250 kit in it and blast away the pretenders.

Adios

My sister-in-law loves her nightrod.  She has not ridden it much yet they are looking to make some mods to make the bike more comfortable for her.  My brother rode it with us over the weekend and yes the bike is sweet.  I know --  [smiley=nixweiss.gif] --where is the pics.  Well I forgot the cam  [smiley=oops.gif] but I will get some pics I promiss.  I am hoping they join the site so they can post there own pics.  Oh by the way be sure to give my dad a warm welcome when he joins this week.  He is the proud new owner of a 07 SERoad King.  He is all smiles now.  :)                                        Have a great one and ride safe
