Have my King pak on order  :-\ Not sure when it will be in, but will post when it arrives. I splurged and ordered the rear speaker system too. My daughter thought it would benefit her ::)

I just took delivery of mine.

I'm replacing that seat so the passenger backrest will tuck in and stay down unlike it appears now.

I wanted the King TP for those longer trips.

I found someone that was willing to trade a king for a chopped. Best trade I could have ever made. I love the extra space and you will too. Speakers in the back should make it even better.

Thanks, Mike
I have the Airwing luggage rack on it with the LED lights.  I'll be putting some bling on the back also.  There are holes drilled for antenna as I have the hidden antenna in the fairing.
Sure wish there was some pinstriping available to match with the saddle bags...

I wish some one could come up with paint codes for the Yellow Roadglides. I tried at local PPG paint supplier and they could not match the Yellow Pearl or the Cahrcoal Slate.

Chances are, the colors won't match if you buy from H-D. the bikes from PA, accessories from WI.
You need to find a real good local painter/body guy. he can shoot it and match it. might take a couple tries.
the two factors to consider, 1) what color is the base coat, under the paint you see. & 2) the size of the metal flake. H-D uses a large flake and you will get close only.
Ya TN, I've heard that a time or two. and my pants get tight every time :huepfenpinkie:

i got the jack nuts at ACE is the Place. dealer looked at me like I had a hump on my back. i had to insert a spacer on the left side to keep it off my upper. there are suttle difference each year and mine came off an 06. could not use the quick disconnect hardware. since my temps have been holding down, I may keep them on longer than expected

Here's a couple of photos of my King TourPac.  I wanted the large, but since they did not offer it in orange I went with the black to match the paint scheme.  Now after joining this site (which I am very gratefull for all the great info I am finding here  :2vrolijk_21: ) and seeing a tourpac completely color-matched, I know I going to be spending the $$ to get mine painted.  Both :(:)

It's been a very good couple of days. First, my Tour Pack shows up. Then the next day, I sell my 2002 RG...........
Life is Good!

Don't have the Tour Pack Backrest yet, going to Corbin in the next couple of weeks to have a Dual Touring seat, Backrest, and maybe a Solo Seat made. And still, waiting on the lock kit.

I found out about it when this thread came out. It took about 7 weeks for mine to show from the time I ordered it.

Very nice is there any way to get the stop lights on these? :drink:

Altug, you could do it one of three ways.  Many have used flexible LED strips on the bottom of the tour paks.  You could use the tour pak spoiler mounted on the lid.  Or any King Tour Pak could be cut for the installation of the "Ultra" rear light package like this one.

Thats the look I want. I think i will order the rear light package.I want the tourpack to be detachable with lights. Is there anything i should order seperatly to be able to make it detachable?I also plan to add speakers to the tourpac.Would there be a problem if i make it detachable? How will i unplug all the wires?
Thanks for the replies. :drink:

In the left side under the side cover, there is a wire bundled up with zip tie that is the plug for the TP. if you get a King tp you simply run it through the hole and down to plug in. The antenna re route is easy. just undo the barrel connector form bottom of antenna, cut the zip tie, and re route, the tp should have the Barrel connector in it. Now I have the Factory CB in my SERG and really use only one antenna, with splitter. the antenna on the right is a dummy

Too many questions eh?

They'll either attach to the rack in the same way.  If there's a color match with either it's entirely your choice.  As Larry mentioned detachability won't be a problem.  Absolute worst case scenario for making it detachable is if you add some bit and have to pick up enough Deutch connector parts to make another plug.  Just not a big deal.

I want to buy this
http://www.harley-davidson.com/gma/gma_product.jsp?PRODUCT%3C%3Eprd_id=845524448768208&FOLDER%3C%3Efolder_id=2534374302286957&ASSORTMENT%3C%3East_id=2534374302286957&bmUID=1239545799755&bmLocale=en_US

This one will work fine, Really.
It doesn't matter. all TP's can mount on the brackets, you just line it up where you want it and drill the holes, thats why buying one off ebay makes good sense, only difference is before 06 they where made of fiberglass and if you need to fill holes or do repairs, it takes some skill level to achieve results. 06 & later they're ABS plastic and can be filled/repaired very simply with ABS glue from HD, thats Home Depot.
now some here will dispute the year change and the use of the acronym ABS, but you get my drift. You're buying 2 separate things, one the TP, and two the bracket.

Thanks Guilty...I wanted something different and I've always admired the look and lines of the PLK T/P on the 06/07 SEUCs.  The way its tapered and with the "buffalo hump" I think it complements the fairing in sort of a mirror/tapered way.

I've got the Kury 21" windshield and a HD Tallboy seat on order.  I haven't seeneither here on the forum.  I started another thread on the windshield but won't get mine until May...hopefully early May >:(

I just took delivery of mine.

I'm replacing that seat so the passenger backrest will tuck in and stay down unlike it appears now.

I wanted the King TP for those longer trips.

Ted

So the back pad will look more finished with a seat other than the stock one?  I would try to use some dbl sided sticky tape or velcro to keep the back down.  Thoughts?

Yup, valcro is exactly what I did short term.  My new seat comes soon and it's thicker for the passenger and will hold the back pad in place.  The valcro makes it a pain every time you open the TP.

Larryb,  yes the painter did a great job. Yes it looks like just like your however, when I talked with my painter we that was not what I expected to get back. Our original plan was to reverse the colors and make it curve up but once the painter laid it all out he didn't like and changed to what you see. I told my painter he could do whatever he wanted as long as all the colors matched and the ghost flames were in the black area. I was surprised to see the finished product was just like your.

:dankk2: Larryb.  I went to rolling thunder this weekend and everyone I talked to thought that I bought the tour-pak that way.  I received many comments on the eagle's head everyone thought that was stock.

As for the lowers I am not sure if I am going to do lowers.  I have never had them and I am not sure if I am going to get them.  If I do I will take them to my painted and go with what he suggest.

But HD website suggests this

Second one is more expensive. Its like a puzzle.Would the colors be the same?would the Ultra Bag with stop lights fit the cvo roadglide?Oh i want it to be detachable.

"Look" is an individual choice.  I've got the King pak for the SEEG.  Not with the Ultra rear lights.  Also relatively recently got a King Ultra Pak on an eBay score for the old SERG.  Side by side I much prefer the Ultra version.  That large open field on the rear of the plain King paks is boring and too open.

Were it not for the fact that the Bushtec keeps me from almost ever using the King pak for the SEEG anymore I'd be cutting it up to mount the Ultra kit.

your right about individal choice and i meant of offence. i think this country could use more individual thinking if you ask me,  and by the way i dig the paint on the lowers.

Don't give it a second thought.  No offense was seen or taken.  Just thinking out loud.  You not caring for the Ultra-sized ass end is no less legitimate than my discovering I liked it better.  It'd be boring if they all looked the same.

Birdman - Now all you need is the auto lock kit and you'll be set.

I have a brother that lives in VaBeach, we'll have to hook up for a quick cruise the next time I ride my 09 Silver SERG down for a visit.   :2vrolijk_21:

Asmith1923,
That sound good to me let me know when you'll be in town and we can get together and hit up a couple of the local watering holes
