OH..one thing with these bars. The cable for the navigation system comes stock routed through the bars. They couldn't get the end of the cable through the new bars where they make the 90 dgeree turn. so, they're following the clutch cablem outside the bars.

From the saddle do they obscure the instruments as much as they seem to from the perspective of the picture?

The Wild 1's look great!  I have the 10" Yaffe's on my new acquisition ('09 SERG3) and I don't have any problems seeing the gauges.  I bought a taller (stock height) Clearview and did however have to move the handlebars back a little to clear the windshield @ full lock.  I've put about 600mi on the bike so far, even did some back roads with twisties and I like em - enjoy!  :2vrolijk_21

They're the 12"

'Em look good, HogBreath.  I was thinking about a set of 10's for Ol' Maudie.  The Ape Hangers from old, on my old Pan, were a little awkward in hard cornering.  'Course, I was always drunk as hell.  Hoist said they seemed to help him in hard ridin', but I wonder.  Let us know how she handles when you thaw out.  8) Later--HUBBARD

With typical Harley efficiencies, no 2 cables are alike, on any bike, anywhere for anybody...Some are adequate some are not.  I just wanted to have the crap on hand.  Its like not having extra gaskets around...The clutch cable could have been used but it woulda hafta been rerouted and kinda to shady tree for me..So new cables, fresh fluid, no big whoop.  :drink:

Tough decision!!   I'm still debating on the chubby's(36"W) or the more narrow Outlawz(33"W).  I had the 10" chubby's on my 06 and on week long trips where I was riding pretty hard everyday, seems that a major pain would bother me between my shoulder blade and spine.  I was never really sure whether it was the wide bar (36") or that the 10's werent high enough.

Too bad these things cant be switched out like seats...

Well, I learned a lot in the last week about Wild 1 bars -- and I've been using them for 10 yrs and had them on all 6 HD.

1.  I ordered the 513 = ALMOST NO DIFFERENCE FROM THE 11 SERG BARS; rise, pullback, width

2.  I exchanged those and today I got the OUTLAWZ 610 = WORSE THAN THE STOCK if u r looking for rise & pullback.

3.  On my 2 previous FLTR I used the 515 = NO MORE NECK PAIN & PERFECT COUNTERSTEERING

So I ordered the 515, again.  Go with what ya know I guess -- but I was hoping for some change.
