too bad there is no room for the one that is used on EG and have room and keep the guages visible that are there.. oh well the handle bar mount is not that bad actually

There's really no good place to put a dash mount on the RG inner fairing...for one, because it's stationary.  The most logical place would be on top of the radio pod, but that's a tight spot, and not a lot of folks would want it sticking up there.  The gauge thing is really not too bad...just move the fuel gauge (which is next to useless) down to where the air temp gauge (which is totally useless) is and throw the air temp gauge in the trash can...it's useless anyway.  All I need to know is whether it's hot or cold, and I can tell that without a gauge on a motorcycle.  ;)

I have a dash mount on my SERGC (removed the volt meter, works great, looks clean) with a Cee Baileys Cee Glide. No problem

There is a way to remove one of the small gauges (like the useless air temp gauge) and mount the GPS in that hole, with an adapter and bracket.   There is also a bracket that can be had to mount the GPS just above the Tach/Speedo pod.  Oherwise, you are stuck with the handlebar mount like came on the '11 SERGU.

Have you got any more info on this mount?

Phantom...that's the application I was talking about.  In his case, he removed the Volt meter because he has a tweeter where the air temp gauge would go on a bike without the tweeter.  If I had a "normal" RG, I'd pull the fuel gauge and move it down to where the tweeter is on his bike and shelf the air temp gauge.  I like mine on the handlebar, but from what I've gathered, it's a bit of a PITA to run the wiring internally to do so.  Mine came that way, so I'm good to go.

But San Diego's way is a good alternative and a nice looking installation.

I put a Cee Bailey with light tint and it was the 3rd shield I've had.  By far the best and the folks there are good to deal with.

I'm on my fifth wind screen and the last one works the best by far. Its a 2 piece by Bagger Shield. Keep it low for around town and up for highway cruising. only complaint is during hard rain the water swirls to the inside some. No buffetting and it looks great.

Try a Madstrad windshield, there totally adjustable and come in light or dark tint and I believe 3 different height's. There the best on the market and they stand behind there product better than anyone I've dealt with before.

I guess I need to ride on a bike with an aftermarket shield, because I don't have a problem with the stock one. Maybe I just don't know what I'm missing... lol
